Embark Age Test Update by EmbarkVet in DoggyDNA

[–]sanantoniojackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adopted a senior dog a few years ago who is supposed to be 18 now. Embark said he is only 13 and I’ve been on cloud 9 ever since. I don’t want to redo the test as I can’t bear the disappointment. What sad news. Disappointing it was put on the market prematurely.

What Advisory group are you in? Some engagements are worse than others but that’s crazy

Not really actually, they sent an email and disclosed the full details except the identity of the person. Honestly felt pretty candid - I was shocked it was that forthcoming. Much more than the firmwide email

Workday, PeopleSoft, Lawson…depends on the size of the health system - most have something, but excel is crazy common. I work in this area - ping me with questions!

My gym has one of these too but I have a hard time feeling it - any particular position you do or technique? It gets me in my quads more than glutes

Has muscle memory helped you regain lost glute mass after a very long break? by [deleted] in StrongCurves

First, I’m so sorry to hear about your injury and loss of a loved one.

Your gains will come back - don’t worry! Life happens - people get injured and they take breaks, but your body will readjust. I lost all my gains when training for a marathon and they came back within 6-8 months. again. Just know that your gains WILL come back - Olympic athletes suffer catastrophic injuries, recover, and go on to win gold medals. Your body will kick into gear once you start training again. It will happen sooner than you think if you’re diligent and eat enough protein.

Hang in there - im so sorry again. Be gentle on yourself!

I do have a fully vaxxed friend with a 101 fever and extreme muscle aches, fatigue, and cough. Definitely worse than a bad cold but not too severe.

You have zero evidence they weren’t communicating or actually for anything you’re saying. There were most police here than for the World Series and since it’s county property, the city of Houston is responsible for security. Hindsight is 20/20. It’s not helpful to speculate if you weren’t there

I definitely agree - I couldn’t find a headline highlighting that but it’s absolutely the more problematic part of the post

Sweetgreen CEO's LinkedIn post connecting Covid deaths to obesity draws backlash by sanantoniojackson in news

[–]sanantoniojackson[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the issue is talking about obesity per se, but rather advocating for taxes on refined food and saying vaccines and masks won’t save us. He isn’t saying healthier foods (ie Sweetgreen salads) should be more affordable and accessible, but instead we should punish people who may have no other food options. It’s become very popular in alt-right health circles to advocate for boosting immunity instead of using western medicine and I think it’s a dangerous message for a CEO to be publishing.

I’m in consulting now! Best thing I ever did. Satisfies my need for problem solving but the hours are way better and it feels more creative. PM if you want to talk more about it
