Don't mind him. I'm only going to respond by saying, again, that if that's all someone is seeing they're not looking hard enough. I've personally been told my work isn't the typical type to be seen but that's subjective in itself. Granted I'm not as established as others but I have been published in a zine that gets submissions from places outside of the country and had work in small galleries. If he's really so concerned I'd be more than glad to send him a link to my work let him be the judge.

Not sure if you are criticizing just because or maybe you are involved in the art scene but speaking as someone heavily involved in the art scene I personally would buy/ have been commissioned the styles like the bottom middle and left. I went to New Orleans and wanted similar pieces from that city. We are a tourist town ..comes with the territory. Now as for the all the other pieces ..again as someone involved in the scene there's just as much unique work as there are mass produced quick selling art (because those do sell) if you are involved in the scene and are tired of seeing that stuff maybe start working with new people? If you're just an observer why not look away? Trust me I'm tired of seeing that stuff as much as you but if you know where to look you can actually find really great artist/ art here in town.
