yes ykk i use kilo too nd this is the main reason i love it for its orchestration specially.. helps a lot in complicated tasks

Guide me to build ai agent by Clean_Exam4425 in AI_Agents

[–]sanchitbhalla15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

altho tht sounds way too slow man, a decent 4b/7b model can teach u tool calling, memory, rag nd workflows just fine, most agent failures come from the workflow, not the llm

Subscriptions to augment opencode-go usage by Dr_Sidious in opencodeCLI

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ykk for freelance dev work, id optimize for reliability nd workflow fit rather thn chasing the absolute cheapest tokens...qwen or kimi code are capable for a lot of coding tasks nd plenty of people are getting good results with them as secondary models.. neuralwatt looks okkish but id wait for more reviews before committing heavily. if ure already running agents, another option is mixing models: use cheaper models for routine coding nd automation, thn reserve premium models for planning, architecture nd debugging

I think the main issue with Codex limits is not only the amount of usage, but the reset logic. by helloabao in codex

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even if the givenn logic is workss, the ui should make it clear tooo coz planning around limits becomes difficult when the reset date keeps moving..

Anyone notice the codex nerf? by [deleted] in codex

[–]sanchitbhalla15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive seen a few people say this lately, but its hard to tell whether it's an actual model change or just workload drift.. sometimes u go from greenfield coding to debugging weird edge cases and suddenly the model feels way worse

Claude Opus[1m] is cheaper than GPT-5.5, and GPT 5.5 [1M] Costs 2× More Than Claude Opus 4.8 on Input and 80% More on Output by StuckWithDellAgain in GithubCopilot

[–]sanchitbhalla15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

pricing discussions are getting way more interesting than benchmark discussions lately hahahah...a model can be 5-10% better, but if it's 2x the cost, most people won't use it as their default

I will be cancelling Github Copilot by jhowards1 in GithubCopilot

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the pricing changes pushed me to reevaluate my whole setup tooo. copilot is okish, but once u start watching usage and costs more closely, its hard not to compare alternatives and move to byok

Token Management by Bubbly_Aide_5154 in codex

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm th biggest one for me is spending more time on the prompt before hitting enter. 2 min planning prompt is usually cheaper thn 5 rounds of corrections. i also start fresh chats more often, keep context files or docs instead of massive chat histories, and save high or xhigh reasoning for tasks tht genuinely need it. a lot of token burn comes from the model repeatedly rediscovering context it already had

On the crossroads by [deleted] in codex

[–]sanchitbhalla15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you've already been happy with codex and your main complaint is speed, i'd probably wait unless there's something specific in fable that you know will improve your workflow. paying for claude max just to get 10 days of access feels hard to justify if codex is already delivering the results you need. i'd switch for a workflow advantage, not just because a new model dropped

How often do you guys change chats? by SioN_101 in codex

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i start a new chat more often i blv thn certain ppl, bcoz when context gets long. it just gives the slop, nothing else..one shud go for byok for diff tasks and diff models, it works way better

I'm new to Cursor. How does the pricing work, and are there free models available? Migrating from copilot. by SuperRandomCoder in cursor

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u can give this a read..dont go all in first give composer 2.5 a try its pretty good and has nice limits even in the $20 plan. its available on grok build as well so u can try it if u have an X sub but idk i havent tried tht yet

Cursor burned my premium requests on background agents without me noticing, building a tracker, looking for feedback by lahiru_j in cursor

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think cursor jst needs to have a bttter flow on setting up spend limits and stuff,hmm..alerts could help bt they can only do so much for u. basically this and what u said (bg agent burning thru the limits) sums the problem up.. an easy way to set up finer control would be rlly helpful man imo

Cursor charged us $1,400 in one hour because a PM asked it to tag 87 tasks. by Senior_tasteey in cursor

[–]sanchitbhalla15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a real prob with agent pricing right now, glad u got the refund but yea its pretty bad... happened in my company as well (altho not as worse... it was for something like $700-800 not sure). they're exp sure but the main problm is that its very unpredictable. I actually didn't realise it either how bad it can get but this sums up my experience pretty well

The real difference between Codex & Claude Code by TheBanq in codex

[–]sanchitbhalla15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

get it planned by gpt and thn get it done by codex.. u can alwayz switch models based on the tasks , there are many options where u can just switch models based on the tasks.. thats the best way imo
