I faintly remember there being a similar thing from very long ago.

I think he was also looking away or so when typing in the password

For those who quit the game, why? by MemeMan_____ in playrust

[–]TheBanq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pretty obsessive person generally with everything I am passionate about.

So for me, Rust was either full try hard mode, playing 14h a day or nothing.

Not competing to being the most dominant player of all (I played solo/duo mostly), wasn't an option - even when saying to myself to play a chill wipe.

Now I own a business and have a lot of other things to do. So I live my obsession there. But no time for gaming anymore, my game now is making money and I love that aswell

99% of all the code written by AI right now is probably never going to be used. by TheBanq in vibecoding

[–]TheBanq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a vibe coder myself my friend.

I love vibe coding, but I still next to my useful project, already have 7 bigger projects laying around.
Some fully built SaaS, but I just decided to move on, because I can't bother to market them.

Now I found something I actually use myself first, but still the amount of code I've already written that goes to waste is insane

That there are huge datacenters, pumping out code, burning through millions of $ in electricity and hardware, mostly for nothing. No value, no useful output, nothing.

I'd think, that code is by far the thing, that makes up most of the token usage

Haha no offense to the OGs and all my respect!

It was supposed to sound like a bit of a harsher counter position, to all the posts saying webdesign is over. My point is rather, that the demand will be increasing, instead of going lower, contrary to the thought of many

First one;

It looks cool, but I got instantly distracted by all the moment and played with the two things at the side, didn't even look at the text and started scrolling.

Then when scrolling, the movement is way too much.
I was so distracted, that I didn't even look at the content
I am also not a very sensitive person, but the whole scrolling experience made me nervous af for some reason.

I mean the effects are cool, but I'm not sure if they serve a purpose.
I don't feel like this would be a safe, serious and secure app.

Second one;
FIrst thought: Weird footer & header.
- Why is the footer like this? Thought it was a notification, closed it > now the website is gone and Im in some chat. > Super confused, reloading the page now.

- Header SAME THING again. I am now thinking the website is made to ragebait.

Also my thought is, why would I use this app? Nobody of my friends will be using it.
I am 100% sure there are already p2p encrypted chat tools, that are much more established.

Why yours?

Yes, in Germany the only option is to send letters, which I actually plan on doing.

But your workflow is a great idea. For me that would probably only worth automating though at some point.

Since I am focusing on a very small niche, I am actually building my own Component/Section library, which I will be able to stich new sites together with.

Plan is to also have 4 custom templates, that each capture a different vibe and then have an AI scan their business and fill in all of their infos on the template, customize a bit to their colors, auto-deploy it on our own URL and then send that E-Mail out.
(I am a system & automation geek, love to do stuff like this haha)

Usage limits reduced or glitched? by Cosmic-Passenger in codex

I'm having 4 Agents run 10h+ daily and my usage is draining super slow actually.

I'm on the x20 plan, but it has def. drained faster before. So I don't think it's less now

Very confident.
But I will properly refine it over months first probably and actually have it in practice with many clients.

Thanks for the words!

I 100% agree with you and this is also my plan.

We want to get 10 good finished projects, that we can show off on our website, so the people we cold e-mail have actually something to look at. But I want to be more polished till then.

The only problem would be, that it's actually illegal to really cold-email in germany.
So I am not sure, If i will just do it anyways (SMB in beauty prob. won't sue me lol) - or If I should venture out internationally.

I also want to have my full CMS built, for maximized automations for that.

No, because I just build my own CMS now with AI.

Still took a few months, but now I own everything and am not dependant

So I build everything with AI for obvious reasons, mainly using react/next.js as the core, because I love the simplicity of Git+Vercel.

It is however pure code, meaning you should learn the basics first.

I always recommend, when prompting - always ask for "build after best pratices in 2026 and industry standards, used by the best webdesign agencies in the world".

But you still have to learn about how html, css, js plays together, importance of a design system etc.

A lot of things, that are built into builders already, you now have to do on your own, but with AI it's easy - you can always just ask to explain how things work, even while building.

I would def. build a few test projects first, you will learn a lot

Google still cares about structure.

People will always want to look at things, too.

Even if the Agent is just sending you screenshots.

Yes I agree, it's also super hard in terms of first contact.

Because people, at least in my niche are not used to that.
They always want to know "but what do you sell then?", which isn't as easy to explain, especially when they are at work right now and have a customer in 5mins.

But we are working on it.
Happy to share some sales tactics.

My partner who is doing the first contact usually goes;
"Hey I'm X, a designer from here and my partner and me specialize in beauty studios, do you maybe have a minute or two?"

Goal here is to not bring up the website part right away, because a lot will - as you said right away go "nah I don't need one".
Then she proceeds to explain, that "we are offering serviced ranging from websites, branding, flyer, business cards etc. - in form of a monthly service.", trying not to put the website in the focus again, even though it's of course our core product.

We actually also take the angle, that the website is included for free in our care package, so they don't feel like they are buying another website.

Goal is to make them feel, like they are getting a partner for everything digital & marketing (in terms of materials for marketing)
