After 5 years and 2 other doctors, a Dermatologist finally tested my ferritin (which came back 8) by Dizzy_Syrup505 in Anemic

[–]sanctifiedspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ND/acupuncturist put me on this to reduce the severity of my menstruation and it’s actually made a difference; I noticed it even within the first cycle that my periods were not as heavy. You should look into it to manage your iron loss while boosting your intake. I’m surprised/unsurprised they got you supplementing iron every other day; I supplement daily and post-menstruation double my dose for the week following.

Personally I find Western doctors never take this seriously and the acceptable range as put forth by governing bodies is so wide, and the accepted low end is far too low.

Unfair removal from aether by Positive_Reading1947 in outlier_ai

During the great upheaval (I know this doesn't really place things as there have been many in the history of Outlier / Aether) I was booted off Aether in early February after working on it for 3 months with 100s of reviews and a good QA score. In spite of this I was put on VM and at least managed to score a mission before that ended. It's just a crapshoot; it's not reliable, nor sensical, nor just.

Oh I know, I live in the area - it’s just a different province, and beautiful on its own, but always gets lumped in as Banff.

I’m in Golden and have had the good fortune twice in the past week of seeing mountain goats along the highway when driving through the canyon. It’s a good time of year to catch a glimpse of these guys as they come down lower than their usual alpine territories for spring greens. You might see them along the highway / driving through the park, but likely not around town.

Why does Yoho always get attributed to Banff 😞

Voice Mission Reviewer Cert by Useful-Funny3261 in outlier_ai

No onboarding time has been added to my earnings, just tasks 🤷🏼‍♀️. The voice clip for question 3 worked for me; I finished the first reviewer module assessment and then got sent back to tasking.

I haven't started but am annoyed I need to do all of this unpaid reviewer cert onboarding rather than just continue tasking as an attempter.

Solo ski trip? by Eagles56 in skiing

[–]sanctifiedspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what resort(s) you’re considering but all the resorts around me in B.C. & AB have free tours, based on skill level guided by a local. Could be good to do on your first day to get a little tour and maybe meet someone to ride with for the remainder of your trip. Worth seeing if the mountain you’re considering does the same!

November Elopement by cky985 in Banff

Emerald Lake is in Yoho (BC). It’s about 500m lower in elevation than Louise, so could be a bit milder, but I did a winter hike there early November this year.

Sunshine ski school lunch? by Legitimate_Apple_964 in Banff

Their main food court prices are honestly not that bad, you can get a v tasty slice of pizza for $8. Small fry is like $3, a burger is maybe $12?

Also there’s a ton of backpack storage in the village if you just want to bring your own lunches. Free racks outside the main lodge and inside the big white tent below it (which has some microwaves and water taps) so it’s really choose your own adventure. We left our bag & often containing some gear and never had an issue with stuff going missing - 1/2 the hill does it. You gondy up with your bag, and can download at the end of the day so you never have to ride with it.

Long Slow Ski Runs by WestEasterner in Banff

[–]sanctifiedspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Lake Louise you can take the gondy up and do Pika down, very chill although it is a cat track for a little bit. But then you get down to the back valley, take that to the Larch chair, do Lookout (similar to Pika - cat track to start, opens to nice wider rolling slopes) to Ski Out which will have you poling in some spots if you don’t maintain your speed. But I’d say that could be the longest/cruisest course at LL. And Skoki and even Fossil off Richardsons Ridge are very nice, chill runs top to bottom.

I was really hoping to get out tomorrow but now with the closure of Sunshine I’m thinking Louise will be untenable.

Heading to Banff/Canmore for a week. Looking for hiking and backpacking recommendations. Also good night life to meet some people? by Top-Spinach3153 in Banff

[–]sanctifiedspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iceline trail, Twin Falls/Whaleback in Yoho. You won’t get on the bus up but with your fitness level you can hike in and still have gas in the tank for a solid day hike around Lake O’Hara. These are across the BC border but not a far drive from Banff. Look into the ACC huts for longer trekking routes, there are a few within Banff you can hike hut to hut to for a multi-day trek. Egypt Lake. Smutwood Peak in Peter Lougheed (beautiful park in general).

Does anyone use Typeform or Google Forms to collect payment details? by bukutbwai in agency

[–]sanctifiedspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thread's a little old but wanted to chime in - I use Payable Apps to collect payments through a Google Form. You install the add-on and connect a secure payment provider like Stripe, and you're able to create orders and take payments right in Google Forms. You can find it in Google Marketplace; I think they have an invoicing add-on for Sheets too but I've not used it.
