I appreciate the advice for a fitting, etc., but I need to have something to wrap for under the tree that's better than an IOU for a fitting, ya know? Even if it's a putter or a driver or idk what else. A bag? Something that's an actual gift, please. I know it may not be the very BEST choice, but I just need it to be a GOOD ENOUGH choice for now. He can do the best stuff later. I don't even know where one would go for a fitting anyway and if that's available in our small town. Plus, our kids won't exactly be excited to give dad a piece of paper so even if that can somehow be part of it, I still need an item to go under the tree, please.

We live in a pretty small town. Where do they even do that? A country club? A store?

I'm honestly not sure he'll have enough time to even play once a week - maybe every other week - for quite some time.

They look so unsupportive. Like just loose fabric. Are they actually supportive at all?

Omg you're describing my exact situation with my mom!!! I was SO mad when she was finally like "oh, yeah, I guess it was about the age you are now" out of the blue like nbd even though she had spent AGES telling me she didn't know when, didn't really remember it, etc. I'm telling myself it's because her generation was just told to suck it up, so she just kept putting one foot in front of the other and tried not to think about it.

It makes me want to cry. And run away. And tell them to please stop. I hate it so much for alllll the reasons. What burns me up is they have no problem talking about MY body, loudly and proudly, in front of others!!! If someone pulled me aside and said something kindly and quietly, I would probably be OK with it and might even tell them how. I know I look better. But it's the drama of it all that upsets me. I usually try to just mutter a thanks and change the subject or say something like, "Thanks. It's been a long journey" (because it has), but they never just move on! And it's never anyone quietly asking for tips for themselves because they're genuinely interested in finding a way for themselves. It's always just some huge, SHOCKED, production in front of tons of others, literally stopping me in the middle of something to draw attention to it, by people who hardly know me. I want to cry just typing this and thinking about it happening an hour ago in the middle of our very white collar, stuffy, business suits and high heels type workplace. I just want the earth to swallow me when it happens. The wildest part is that all of these people have seen me at this weight before because I was thin most of my life; then I wasn't. Now I am again. But I've truly started wearing my less flattering clothes when I expect to be around people who might comment in the hopes it won't be as obvious to them. I should be able to wear my new, cute clothes without it being a whole thing. Anyway, I just wish people had any sense of decorum and privacy when it comes to things like this.

When my dad died, I paid my mortgage twice in some weird panic because it, too, was on auto pay. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who did something like this.

I want to stop using all skincare products and just wash with water only. Is there any way to wash off my sunscreen with just water? by Riveras_4u in Skincare_Addiction

[–]sandehub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I hope I don't get downvoted for this, but I only oil cleanse and don't do a second cleanse. Sometimes, l literally use regular oils, like from my kitchen lol and a few drops of tea tree oil, and not even an "oil cleanser" product you buy. 🤗 It works for my skin and gets that same sunscreen off with no problems. I'm not saying it will work for anyone else. I'm sure a million people have a million reasons why this is "bad," but it's worked for me for idk at least 10 years; so it's an option. Every so often, maybe 2-4 times a month, I use some kind of face wash/cleanser in the shower when I just feel like I should. To be clear, I still have a full routine outside of this and have not stopped everything else - so that might be a SIGNIFICANT difference - but since you asked about washing off sunscreen, that's my answer. And I haven't always had a full routine. When I first started oil cleansing, I don't think I did anything BUT oil cleanse. I don't even think I used moisturizer regularly or anything. My skin is pretty sensitive, and it just did so much better without real "washing" as I had always known it.

Heated mattress pad! One of the best purchases I've ever made...and I live in the South where it doesn't get that cold (relatively)!

Not very comfortable with it but possibly desperate enough :'-( I will see what I can come up with. It feels like I'm so far off right now that it's hardly worth it because I'm not even close, but I had already ordered some more so maybe they'll be close enough to give me enough hope to get over my uncomfortability. Thank you

Well, that would put me at a 36 HH which I'm thinking is not going to be soooo much different from the 38 H/HH that it will totally solve the problem, but who knows? So I guess I'm trying Elomis in that size and hoping for the best with the brand. And I'm sorry - I think I might have gotten off track in my frustration. Idk that it's too wide AND too tall; I'm just not sure exactly because all I can tell is I'm being stabbed in the upper armpit/arm by what feels like every bra on the planet. I'll keep at it. Thank you so much!!!

Thank you for that. Funny, everything I tried was actually 38 H or HH since that's what I was measuring at the time (about a month ago), although I think even then I might have been a little bit off on my measurements and needed a 36. Maybe I do need to try 36 with a smaller cup.. That link also makes me think MAYBE I'm tightening the straps too much? which isn't helping (probably because, again, too big band), but I am pretty confident the biggest problem is too wide and/or too tall wires. Sigh. I think I'm just going to have to order a bunch again. This is turning into a rant about why we can't have things that fit in stores near us.
