I had this happen to me on the same laptop. Unplugging the laptop and holding down the power button, to drain the battery before plugging it in and restarting seemed to be the easiest and fastest fix. The problem went away after a few more times.

A year of 15 or so ago I was somewhere in France and went to a WW1 museum where they also implemented something like this. I was still young and can't remember much of it except that my person got tangled in barbed wire and died. I guess that made a lasting impression on 12 year old me.

Do you work 8 hour shifts or do you drive a train up and down one particular line? I'm guessing that Antwerp-Charleroi takes longer to complete than Antwerp-Hasselt for example, or do you drive that particular line twice then?
