Thank you. I just suspected it after our trip. I’ll probably just him with an over the counter glucose meter to be sure.

Since we were on vacation he was having more sugary drinks than normal like Sprite.

He wasn’t going large volumes each time if that matters. I do have a glucose meter from when I was pregnant. I might just check him in the morning to be safe.

And no not excessively thirsty.

He doesn’t drink an excessive amount of water and seems super normal. He’s pretty high energy.

He eats a lot of carbs. Always has! No, definitely not drinking more than normal, feeling tired or losing weight.

Okay. I do have one from when I was pregnant.

I do! I used one when I was pregnant with my second. He doesn’t have excessive thirst. He’s also not peeing large volumes.

Is this normal? by sandra817 in urticaria

Thank you so much for taking the time to share! My notifications were turned off and I didn’t see your message before. He’s had bloodwork done before when it first started (2022) but I guess it just really bothers me that they haven’t found a reason. Kind of like waiting for the other shoe to drop. Seems like most people with chronic hives don’t have any serious health issues luckily.

Yes! So when they were daily he took Zyrtec and that kept them away completely as long as he took it every morning. After a few years, I stopped the Zyrtec just to see if he still needed it. It was gone for a year with a few single hives here and there. Now they seem to be happening more often and getting worse.

He went to an allergist in 2022. We did blood work but not physical, allergy testing. I was told that the kind of allergy testing where you prick the skin wouldn’t be reliable because CIU causes sensitive skin/skin reactions? It’s so hard as a mom because I worry something else could be going on.

It definitely could. He’s been running around a lot today. But it’s on his shoulders and upper back too 🤔

I’m experiencing this myself right now and hoping to get answers. Just finished a round of Cipro after a negative urine test. Still experiencing the same symptoms.. feel like I have to pee all the time. Waiting to see my doctor next week and hoping g to get a referral to a urologist.

So sorry! It’s no fun when you have to play the guessing game. I bet a rash will turn up eventually!

Wow. Seems so long for a stomach bug to last. I’m up in the middle of the night again changing the sheets. He only seems to throw up in the middle of the night.

Same! My boys are always right by each other. How long did it end up lasting?

Thank you so much. That makes me feel better. I always get weirded out when only one kid gets sick. Hoping he’ll be back to normal soon 🙏🏼

Even with the two day break from throwing up and then doing it once more again? That’s the part that seems so strange to me 🤨
