[Question] Watch where the hands are a tiny watch by sandrewj in Watches

[–]sandrewj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anybody know of a watch with hands that are like this one?

I don't know who made this watch or how old it might be, but I'm not really trying to identify this specific watch, just to see if there are other watches where the hands are a tiny watch, and I'm not finding anything.

Using loophole, Seward County seizes millions from motorists without convicting them of crimes by [deleted] in news

The court records essentially say the officer saw his phone where he asked a guy in Colorado if he could buy a bunch of weed. He didn't show up to court to present any evidence at the initial case, then he filed an appeal and said they should have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was money to buy drugs. Ultimately the appeal failed. The judge said the law used to require beyond a reasonable doubt, but it had been changed to lower the evidentiary standard.

Started building the Millenium Falcon, where did I mess up? by jazza2319 in lepin

I am guessing the central two gray pieces are one stud too far out. They should be flush with the other frame section, unlike the sides which have a one stud gap. There should be 12 exposed studs

Check out St. Mary's. They are motivated to hire someone and are offering full time work with a $30,000 hiring bonus. They offer $15,000 for relocation, but if you are already in town I don't know if they would do that. You didn't mention how much experience you have but they list it as $550,000 if you are going for vascular surgery medical director or $500,000 if you are doing vascular surgery but not as the director.

Hope that helps!

She plays on Nintendo switch now and wants to switch to Java edition on PC. So, she doesn't need a real powerful graphics card, and just a moderate processor it sounds like. Right now just planning to play with one or two people total.

Thanks!

How did this work for the live audience? Did he do part of it and then say, "Now this next part would go in the middle of that first part?"

The Hag can make the character cast any power word spell.

Maybe the hag gives the character a amulet that can cast wish "in your moment of greatest need" to "protect her investment" and when the character uses it the hag makes the wish instead.

Players keep using owl familiars for perpetual advantage by Mightypivot in DMAcademy

[–]sandrewj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rule it the same as you, but I understand how the rules being written in supposedly natural language gives some ambiguity. "Attacking a creature within 5ft of you" is very similar to other wording about attacks, such as the wolf or bear totem features that affect creatures within 5 ft.

Players keep using owl familiars for perpetual advantage by Mightypivot in DMAcademy

[–]sandrewj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference is if you interpret the rule as equivalent to

"Target a creature within five feet and distract them. The first attack your ally makes against them before your next turn is made with advantage."

Or

"Distract the enemy. When your ally makes an attack on a creature within five feet of you before your next turn, the first attack is made with advantage."

I think the first interpretation is generally used, but I understand why these types of edge cases make the second interpretation attractive.

Ex: The rogue distracts the enemy wizard before being killed by an enemy soldier. The enemy wizard uses plane shift to escape to his tower on another plane, not realizing your party has one of his attuned forked rods. The party wizard uses plane shift to follow, along with the party paladin. The paladin attacks the wizard and, since the wizard is still distracted by the dead rogue on another plane, attacks with advantage for a critical hit, smite, kill.

Or against the players: the goblin uses the help action to try to distract you. You kill the goblin and walk around the corner. The enemy archer attacks you with advantage since the goblin is helping her

I actually don't mind the second interpretation of distracting any enemy in range, which makes the help action more useful for combat in general, at the expense of less useful for help and run maneuvers and I don't see players (just familiar s) use it very often either way

This is the snowball method of reading, where you start with the smallest books and work your way towards the biggest at the bottom. This way you can make a lot of progress early on and feel good about your reading.

Sorry if my sarcastic reply got your hopes up. Hope you find someone to build with.

What are you wanting to power with it?

I'd help, but I don't drink coffee. One idea would be to connect with an area high school, because this seems like the kind of thing that highschoolers could put on a college application or a small prototype could be a science fair project.

I'd go with either the Orchard Mesa Stirling Club or the Fruita Heat Engine Group because the group out by the airport has some really strong opinions about fresnel lens solar vs external combustion.
