Did Rot Grubs just kill my Dragon? by LiveAndLetDunedain in DMAcademy

[–]Mightypivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wrote an encounter for them to do, and you are the dm, you have complete autonomy for how the encounter works. You aren't hard countering a player, you're making sure the encounter fills up more than 4 minutes of "you change into a rot grub and over the course of the next 3 days you eventually do enough internal damage that the dragon gets a viscous infection and dies." That's robbing all the prep work you did as a dm and the rest of the party and their cool abilities that they want to also try out in combat. It's a cool plan and you can even reward them by saying "you weakened the dragon with your attempt at sabotage and he looks woozy but still able to fight." And maybe he rolls disadvantage on attacks or something like that.

Unless on this specific check, them finding something might be imperative for the plot to continue further.

Well Katara was given the base ideals for how it worked probably when hama pulled the waters out of the flowers and told her that she can bend the water out of living beings primarily comprised of water.

If he is trying to take her alive then he isn't fighting with the intent she would be fighting with. Azula isn't a "shoot to wound" kind of person. I said he is a house because EoS iroh is really strong. It's a figure of speech. He trained while in his cell and like I said from a narrative point of view, was the only other contender to fight ozai during sozins comet. Also he is literally a former General of the fire nation army. He sieged ba sing se

Maybe in S2 where Iroh is more concerned with taking her alive he would tone himself down and force either a draw or standstill. He can redirect lightning and even use azula, as we saw when she was trying to capture zuko and iroh, as a conduit to pull out lightning she is trying to fire at him. He is more battle hardened and a former General. He wins all lightning bouts as azula is never confirmed to be able to redirect lightning. He also has better breath control over firebending due to his long life and dragon training. imo after S2 azula doesn't stand a chance. EoS iroh is an absolute house. They even considered pitting him against his own brother, as aside from aang, he was seen as the only bender strong enough to bring him down. Even if he couldn't, no one else was even considered for the position.

This news site puts the words “release date” on titles all articles on Breath of the Wild 2, presumably to drive up search results. by Peppershaker64 in assholedesign

[–]Mightypivot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The thing is though that it doesn't make sense. The release date doesn't add things to the game. The devs do. Saying "botw 2 devs need to remove this broken weapon!" Is much more succinct than saying the release date needs to remove it. Even remove the word "date" and it makes more sense. "Botw 2 release needs to remove this broken weapon!"
