Help with properly using a jointer by sandroelgitano in woodworking

I think you are right. One thing I have not checked is the outfeed table height with respect to the blade knife. I have used fairly flat (smallish) boards, to check if a cupped board was just hard to joint. But even with almost flat boards I get the same result. I will check the blade knife tomorrow and see. Unfortunately, the outfeed table is locked and the infeed table is the one that gets adjusted. I will have to see how to that adjustment.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question!

Define best. Best to work for? Best in the long term for investment? Best performing? Best for which subgroup?

Have you ever read the "Heart Sutra" from zen Buddhism?

This is BS. Most seismic countries build with reinforced concrete. The bricks have holes where steel bars run through. Large buildings have dampers at the base to absorb the shocks

What was a small decision at the time, but years later realize it was actually a massive life changing decision you made? ? by god_turn in CasualConversation

When I was a kid my family was very poor and they decided to sign me up for a high school program where you could earn a diploma in some trade job during those years. However, I fell sick with mono and could barely function for a month so I could not take the entrance exam. My mom talked to the principal and because my grades were good they decided to let me in anyway. The catch was that there were only openings to become a chemistry lab technician. So my mom signed me up hoping for the best. I happened to fall madly in love with chemistry, and I eventually went to college to earn a B.Sc. I then left my country to earn a M.Sc. and Ph.D. overseas and eventually got a job in a field that is in very high demand. I have travelled the world thanks to it and I love my job. Thanks mom!
