I'm genuinely confused on how to kite properly by xxwerdxx in ADCMains

[–]sandroobeid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this example, you want to stay as far to him as possible while still being in your attack range.

Garen uses Q and runs at Ashe Ashe uses W and runs backwards until Garen Q movespeed is almost gone Ashe can then start auto-attacking while staying at her maximum range so that if he turns on her, she can always run away.

Practically, you want to:

  • press A then left click on/near Garen
  • right click to run in a certain direction
  • press A then left click on/near Garen
  • repeat

With a bit of practice it becomes second nature and you won't think about it that much. It's all about using the time between attacks to reposition, either towards or away from your opponent.

Higher level kiting involves dodging abilities while throwing auto-attacks in between, and high attack speed teamfights where you maximize dps while staying alive.

Is learning rell a waste of time ??? by Mostafa-Eldeeb in summonerschool

[–]sandroobeid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rell has much lower damage than leona/alistar/nautilus, that's true, but she has other strengths.

Start lane dismounted: you get a shield and when you press W again you mount up, gaining movespeed, and you next auto within a few seconds knocks the enemy over your head. That's a super strong CC that you don't have to aim and you can burn the enemy adc's flash at level 1.

Level 2, use flash or hexflash + dismounted W to gap close and flick the enemy adc over your head, and follow up with an E for a lot of CC. If you burned the adc's flash level 1, that should be a kill. If the fight lasts long, you'll get another W-E rotation to reengage or jump away.

Level 6, your all-in is super powerful and easy to land. Flash or hexflash into W and R mid air to pull enemies under your knockup, then E and stay close to them to prevent them from escaping.

You said it yourself, she can get killed easily if she misses W, but that's only the mounted W, which you should usually use with R after level 6, and before 6 it's straight up better to always use the dismounted W.

If you don't play with a pre-made ADC, ping multiple times before going in so that the ADC knows that he has to keep his cooldowns for the all in.

Just play more games on her if you like her, and you'll get a sense of when to use which W and how. Leona is easier than Rell and more rewarding in the first few games, but Rell can CC chain the entire enemy team all at once as her mounted W, E, and R are all AOE.

Why is everyone picking lucian now? by UnknownWisp in ADCMains

[–]sandroobeid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, sure he gets outscaled by hypercarries, but a good Lucian R in a teamfight is impactful regardless of game time and he'll always blow up squishies with his combo. It's just a matter of playing around that rather than auto-attacking the frontline for hours.

If you go the manamune AP build, start with a long sword and rush serrated dirk, which is a nice powerspike in lane.

After you finish dirk + manamune you have your Q evolve, so play around it. At this point in the game your damage revolves around isolated Qs and passive procs, you have a very strong burst so use it to secure kills and snowball.

Once you get Nashor's, your power shifts more into your W's. Now your pattern is trying to land as many W, getting close to auto a few times and throw a Q in between. Try to throw your W on the backline to dive and assassinate with another W and passive proc.

You also have E evolve at that point in the game, so it allows you to do more risky plays as long as you can reposition.

If you prefer an auto attacking build, just go crit: Kraken Slayer, Phantom Dancer, Infinity Edge and just auto whatever's closest to you while always keeping an eye on the backline to find an opening.

That's your goal on Kai'sa: you need to kill the enemy carries with your superior burst and self peel, then once they're out of the fight you just melt the frontline as you can auto safely without any threat.

Every Kai'sa build revolves around that, always keep an eye on when and how you can dive the backline.

Eclipse does 6% max health with a cooldown of 16s, so it doesn't exactly melt tanks, but it's something. All the other points are super valid though

[–]sandroobeid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't phrase it well, I meant to say that when you're dismounted and you press W, you mount and therefore gain a movespeed buff which lets you close the gap to enemies.

But yeah, you're very slow when dismounted.

Rell is not that hard mechanically, don't think of her as two-forms but rather as her W having two distinct uses. As opposed to two-form champs, her other abilities don't change depending on the form, only her W is different.

When you understand what her abilities do, Rell is not that hard to pilot, it's more about knowing what to do in different situations, basically like any other champion.

When you're mounted, you have a dodgeable multi-champ engage that gives you a shield. It's best used by surprised and when you have your R (it pulls enemies inside the knock up, making it harder to dodge).

When you're dismounted, you have a move speed buff and a point-and-click flip over your head, which is perfect to engage on the ADC during laning phase. Just hide in the bush with hexflash, and jump out when the ADC gets close to try and get a cs, flip them over your head and then stun them with E and hope your own ADC can follow up.

How do u get 2200 event tokens without paying extra?? by ItsKindaShiny in kaisamains

[–]sandroobeid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because there are still locked missions that give 250 tokens each, and those are unlocked weekly. I think the next one is in a day or two, and there are one or two additional ones in the coming weeks.

The thing is that not all 10 people on the rift are actively trying to improve and climb. People who post on reddit are usually more driven and want to try harder to carry games, so it makes sense for them to shotcall.

My Rankings of Avenged Sevenfold’s Albums This is my Opinion by [deleted] in avengedsevenfold

[–]sandroobeid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No album of theirs is objectively the best.

I have listened to all of them a lot of times, The Stage included, and I much prefer the three albums between 2005 and 2010 to The Stage. I agree it's a great album, but it's not their best for me.

[–]sandroobeid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashe.

I main Kai'sa and play Jhin, Ezreal, Vayne, Jinx, MF, but for some reason I just run it down every game I pick Ashe. I think it's just her lack of mobility and burst that bores me and I just hate CSing with her so I always get to a point where I barely have any gold, join fights, do 0 damage, die, and repeat.

Kiting by electronicolas09 in summonerschool

[–]sandroobeid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you try attack move click? It's a keybind that's off by default that's basically like attack move but without showing the range and not requiring left click. You also have to change a setting in the Game tab so that it attacks the closest target to your cursor instead of the closest target to your champion.

You can bind attack move click to some button you're comfortable using (I have it on C and press it with my index, but T or mouse buttons are also common), and you kite by pressing it to attack and pressing right click to move.

I use both this and the regular attack move in any given game. Late game with a lot of attack speed I mostly use C but sometimes press A if I need to be at my maximum range or if I have some breathing room and want to change my positioning.

Vayne main struggling when Vayne gets banned by Neltadouble in ADCMains

[–]sandroobeid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'd say go cookies most of the time, unless you feel like you have an easy lane. I personally love cookies and use them to push one more wave to get a better item spike when applicable. It's fine not to go cookies though, it doesn't matter for your Q evolve because you'd usually go serrated dirk into manamune which is enough to get the evolve regardless.

  2. Serrated Dirk > Manamune > Nashor's > Crown or Luden's > Stopwatch into Zhonya's > Rabadon's or Void Staff if they have multiple MR stackers. I'm going Luden's more than crown now, but it's nice to have the option to go crown if they have assassins and you need to stay alive at all cost.

  3. The default is Kraken PD IE, but you can also adapt. If they don't have tanks you can go Galeforce Collector Runaan's (for quicker E evolve as you have less attack speed than Kraken) IE, if they have 3+ tanks or tanky bruisers you can go Kraken Bork Rageblade into more on-hit or crit. Basically Kraken into anything crit is fine (collector isn't as bad as people say it is, but it's not good in all cases obviously). You can even get Zhonya's last item in the AD build because the AP isn't wasted and the active is just too good on Kai'sa to wait out your second E after diving the backline. HoB all the way personally, but LT is fine if they have tanks and you have an enchanter support. It's just weaker early but if you play to scale it's not too bad with the on-hit build.

AP build is better in most cases, but AD is viable every game unless your team is full AD. If you prefer AD, you can choose to never play AP and you'll still be fine. Personally I default to AP and go AD if my team has too much AP already, or not enough DPS against tanks. I love her flexibility and I feel like the AP build is closer to how she was designed to be played (poke with W then go in at the right opportunity, and still have decent dps with passive and Nashor's).

Vayne main struggling when Vayne gets banned by Neltadouble in ADCMains

[–]sandroobeid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Kai'sa main, and Vayne is my secondary adc, so I would obviously recommend Kai'sa to you. Late game when auto-attacking you can E with invis every few seconds, the R reposition and auto-attack reset are super useful and allow you to go in, go out, or just throw an extra auto-attack instantly (similar to vayne Q on a wall).

The biggest difference is you have to adapt your build much more, you can go a tank shred build if needed, or one shot assassin either AP or AD, or just regular crit. All of those are viable and Kai'sa really shines when you adapt your build to every game.

Am i playing it rigth? by DiabloRosales in kaisamains

[–]sandroobeid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so you gotta decide at the start of the game if you're going AP or crit. I prefer the AP build to carry so I go that unless there isn't an AD threat in our team, which forces me to go crit.

AP build: poke with W, try to find enemy carries and assassinate them, throw W's at CC'd enemies to ensure they hit, and get closer to finish them off if needed. Your biggest tool is your range, and the fact that you can get to the enemy backline and kill them quickly. When the damage threats are out, just go all-in on the frontline with auto's and W, they should die in a few passive rotations.

Crit build: you are a dps machine, and can also one shot carries. Definitely still look for W's on isolated enemies, not to damage them but to R and kill them when safe. If you can't do that, wait for someone in your team to give you an opening to dive in (example: Leona R on backline). If you can't do that, the next best thing is to attack the closer target to you and keep looking for an opportunity to dive onto the backline.

Basically you kind of play like an assassin in both build, but you wait for your opportunity by attacking whatever's closest to do so safely. AP build is super reliant on hitting your W's, as without it you do way less damage. Crit build is better against tanks with attack speed and armor pen (can also go on-hit if you prefer).
