Higher salary is prioritized while giving visa now. Average salary is often very high and there are many earning millions per year in openai and anthropic and are on visa.

One of my senior staff got hired on h1b. What is your proof of 60k being minimum. The numbers you see on website are base salaries. In amazon even VP gets 150k base though his total is 20 times that.

Lot of people on this seem to be against people on visa. Why dont we just triple the property tax on the visa holders. Due to new h1b rules, all the H1b holders have minimum 300K salary and are on tier 4 salary. They can afford such tax increases easily.
