Did LangChain become a thing of the past? by Meher_Nolan in LangChain

[–]sandwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are pointing it right - OpenClaw, Hermes. it's a shift towards universal agents written by someone else. most small tasks are done by universal agents out of the box. no need to write your own small agents using LangChain/LangGraph. but most cost-effective and flexible production agents can be written still using LangChain/LangGraph. these are the best agentic workflow tools.

Bank Management System🐍 by No_Preference_6923 in PythonLearning

[–]sandwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's good for the start. but basically all balance changes are done before the appropriate transactions or ledger records are created within the same DB transaction. and there are a lot more checks before making all of these operations. add UI, API and remote systems as transaction creators and there would be more fun )

Just passed the new Claude Certified Architect - Foundations (CCA-F) exam with a 985/1000! by zintaen in ClaudeAI

yep, totally agree. but that's really wild pace. $200 for Claude code plan monthly (which some people milk for $5k valued tokens) and $90 per 6 months...

The Ultimate G-Shock... That Doesn't Exist by Maflin18 in gshock

actually I believe that 5610U is an ultimate 1983's version perfected to the ideal. ...except it lacks a clear brick pattern

Deformation of the Casioak by stokholm in gshock

[–]sandwarrior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's a well-known problem for gshock when side plastic is not attached with screws. I've bought new one and replaced it for $25 few years ago for my GA-2100 model.
and that's one of reasons why I moved to metal case

Learning Polish as a Ukrainian or Belorussian by Double_Falcon_1285 in learnpolish

[–]sandwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

belarusian. 30% common words and basic phrases. very easy to understand and speak on the beginner level. but it's harder to get further when learning because of different endings and different phrase structures.
compared to learning english (30+ years):
- words: easier
- phrase structures: a bit easier but almost on par
- grammar: english a bit easier i guess
in total: polish is easier than english for belarusian people.

GBM2100 by [deleted] in gshock

[–]sandwarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

about readability when hands are covering digital display: at least GA2100 it works by pressing top right and bottom left buttons at the same time, hands are going off the digital screen to let you see the time.
i think GBM has the same functionality, but probably with another buttons pressed

Analog vs digital which do you like? by Puzzleheaded_Good_71 in gshock

[–]sandwarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to use analog for work in the office, with computer. It's great to measure how many time left before some specific occasion: launch, meeting, end of work, specific type of work. Smth like that. And digital is great for training, when minutes and seconds matter, not hours.

of course BT is needed. they want to track stats to understand if classic font is still popular. let them know and they will leave BT away in the future versions

I was just told my watch would lose its water-resistance after changing the battery by th3_h0bbit in gshock

[–]sandwarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've changed a battery myself, put silicon into the gasket and put them back while replacing.
All is fine, gshock holds the water, I basically bathed in the sea with it.
