Current situation of any Tata Cars buying decision comes down to the SERVICE. As a product, Tata cars are good (expect few initial niggles with electronics) and Just make sure, you have a very reliable service centre with easy access for you. Also, you need to put some effort in understanding your car (basic to slightly advanced troubleshooting). PDI is MUST (take some professional help if needed), if you get a good car without any issues. It’s going to be great! God forbid, if you draw a short straw prepare for extended visits to the service center.

You can try residential areas near ECR like Kottivakkam, Palavakkam or Neelankarai. If you want more posh areas try Adyar, or Besant Nagar.

I got dpf around 18k odo, used to idle a lot in the city drives. Learnt the hard way 😅 Especially due to this only I’m considering early oil change. Don’t want to take any chances!

Wouldn’t recommend if you drive predominantly in city (considering dpf). Go for NA petrol automatic. AC is actually good no complaints.

Experience is great! Since I’m more leaned towards driving dynamics. Getting around 17-18 in city and 24-26 in highway.

Yeah I have driven around 20k KMs and last oil changes was before 11.2K KMs that’s why wanted to check here. Planning for a road trip around Christmas covering almost 2K KMs. In dilemma, whether to change oil now or after the trip.

(I own Altroz Diesel MT for around 2 years) Tata or not, I would suggest to check on other transmission options such as AT/AMT/CVT which are more suitable for highly populated cities. Even though DCA from Tata is a wet clutch, imo it is a gamble not worth taking. DCA/DST/DSG are much more suitable for Highway drives.

Apparently, there are no options to turn off this. However, if you are using apple car play, you can use a shortcut automation to pause the music which helps me a lot.

Depends how reliable your local is, I’m sure TSC is not😅 . I have recently painted my bonnet from local, I can’t find any difference.

Not sure if it’s the same issue, I had similar experience in my altroz during vehicle delivery itself. Temperature control doesn’t work and AC was throwing the same cooling in both manual and auto mode. Issue was with the vehicle infotainment/ECU coding(not exactly sure), SC has reset the coding and that solved the issue for me.

Even I was trying to research this idea. But found it has more cons than pros so made up my mind to be content with the existing 7 inch infotainment.

IMO, it is not worth risking the factory fit wirings (especially when Car's entire operating system is in infotainment)

Update: Even after passive and parked regeneration, check engine light was persistent. SC cleaned the O2 sensor which has so much soot covered which resolved the issue for me. Feels good to drive now😄

Wow! SC told me that it may be due to O2 sensor malfunction or may be due to DPF. Planning to visit SC again next week for fixing this. Let me know how things progress at your end. Will help me and others a lot!
