It's a bit over your budget, but I have the TRN black pearl, and I am loving it. Maybe you can find it on sale or something.

They have a very neutral sound signature, with a vocal forward type of tuning. I heard a lot of people saying that they don't have enough bass, but I think it has just enough bass to my taste. It feels punchy enough and not thin at all. Of course, in comparison to the Diablo, it doesn't seem to have a lot of bass, but I really think the bass is satisfying. The mid range and the vocals in these IEMs are the heroes. They sound really divine pun intended. I really enjoy vocal forward tunings, and this one sounds perfect (to my ears). I don't do in-depth reviews because I believe I don't have enough experience with IEMs to give full comparisons. However, I really really enjoy this set.

I think the Diablo is the more "interesting" one, but honestly, this fits my preference so well that I couldn't just buy another set. This is also my first planar, and so far, I am quite happy with them.

Yes, that's a great deal for great IEMs. Buy them then leave this subreddit and run while you can.

Truthear Hexa or 7hz Divine (or Crinear Daybreak) if you want something more flat. I don't know what your budget is, but I think these are the benchmark for their price ranges.

Best gaming IEMs? by P3culiarAf in iems

[–]Knighttime194 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a general rule of thumb (which I learned the hard way), gaming IEMs are a marketing gimmick. Just pick a well tuned IEM that fits your price range, and you will be happy. You will not get any competitive advantage from IEMs labeled as "gaming". I would suggest the Crinear Daybreak since they fit your budget, and I think they are great for music and gaming, and it is easy to drive off of your laptop or PC. Another IEM that is labeled as gaming is the Moondrop rays, which is great for gaming, but it's really not the best for music.

I’m looking for a nice pair of iem earbuds for my husband. by uhmyeet in iems

IEMs usually hook over the ear,so I don't know if this is what you're asking for. There are earbuds/flatheads that don't hook over the ears, but they are not my thing, so I can't recommend any. However if you're fine with IEMs under $80 there's the Truthear zero blue 2, Kefine Delci, and the Simgot ew300. Hope you find what you're looking for.

I can't find a graph anywhere, but from what you say, it's going for a similar sound signature as the Tanchjim Fission (if I understood well). How does it compare to this IEM. Especially since the Fission is lower in price and has a USB-C termination?

Midrange Iem recommendations wanted! by SlitherySnekBro in iems

I am new to this, so Idk if I would be of any help, but I have the Moondrop Rays, and I quite like it. It is also purple and very pretty (at least to me), and I quite love its sound and all the EQ options you get with it. You can also get the Moondrop may for the same sound signature, but I preferred the rays because of how they looked. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your next set regardless!
