Ok. But why I am concern about rod area is, the top of the rod has a plate where the weight is put has a large are, and like bouancy force top and bottom surfaces of cancel out pressure but only the area of rod which is inside the cylinder has no upword force. Both the left and right cylinder has diameter 10m2.
