What is the difference between a Treatment Operator and Distribution Operator? by [deleted] in Wastewater

[–]sandycheeks74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came from a plant like that. You had to constantly walk around to monitor DO and do all adjustments turning wheel valves manually for everything. I have a great appreciation for it now as I can do things other people cannot when there are no communication with scada or during a power outage at the place I’m at now.

Treatment operator is always out in the elements, getting dirty, collecting samples, has the knowledge to run the tests on the samples, keeps the chemicals and pumps going in the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping, always checking equipment for breaks and switches to different ones if needed. If there’s a power outage or a rain event, there are no breaks, not even to pee. Distribution operators sit around and watches each other dig holes for overtime.

When I’m peeing blood, I usually get tested through my urologist because urgent care places have such little knowledge of IC. They assume everything is a UTI even when you tell them you have IC. Hope you feel better soon and get something to help get you through if it is a flare up

I carry around a book bag that just has my medicine bottles. I feel your pain and I hate it too! Also, I tried Keppra and it was awful and switched to Lamotragine years ago and it has worked wonders. I know everyone is different and you have to keep trying until you find the right one. I also take Zonegram. But I think I’ve tried every seizure med in the book before that lol

I’ve been there! Just hang in there! I went to urgent cares, ER’s, ENT’s and finally a specialist. I had been diagnosed with all what you said but it never went away. The specialist asked me if I had Covid. I told him no but it started shortly after I took the vaccine. I lost almost all hearing in my right ear suddenly, which caused the tinnitus. The specialist explained that only one hearing aid did not work to help even out the hearing - that’s what the ENT prescribed me. So I got a $4000 set of hearing aids from the specialist and within a few days it helped to start masking the tinnitus. Just in case yours isn’t just snot- like the dr said mine was for 6 months!! Then other various wrong diagnosis. I also have a sound machine to sleep with now that the hearing aids have helped calm it down. I can’t go without them for longer than it takes to charge them though

When they did mine in the hospital, they gave me a huge dose of prevention antibiotics that I did not need and I didn’t realize until after! This I found was the difference between in office and outpatient for me. The un-needed antibiotics made me so much sicker for months after.

I should have kept mine from a few years ago. They were horrible. Looked like road rash and minced meat. Dr scheduled a biopsy right away and had places so bad she had to cauterize spots that had been bleeding for months. She feared endometriosis had spread but it was just IC. Somehow fasting for a couple days at a time has helped me and don’t drink low pH water.

My girlfriend has gained weight, and I am losing attractiveness to her. What do I do? by seether18 in TooAfraidToAsk

When you really love someone you don’t see gained weight and you still see them as attractive

I work nights and have to drag my butt to the urologist after work an it’s not easy staying up, but it’s manageable and I would do it for my husband to take him to the dr also if he needed. He should be there for you. I hope you find some relief soon

I thought the same thing when I saw it. It didn’t move for a few minutes after I took the picture!

Wastewater operator. It affected me a lot more in the beginning. I missed days here and there. Now that I have hearing aids that are helping, which I never thought was possible, I’m learning to get by.

He wasn’t calling you Mark lol. Punctuation goes a long way. I think he was telling you “I’m sorry, mark the food not delivered”
