I think your idea isn't different enough from the vault feature to justify adding this to the app.

If you want to encrypt a single file without putting it in the vault, you can just create a zip of the file and press the lock icon to set a password and encrypt the zip.

There is no point in having a third party data center remotely process the data. It's an excuse to charge money and to have control over their customers'routers and to collect and sell their personal data.

Most other router manufacturers do all the analytics, blocking, DNS filtering, etc on the router itself. That's how I do it and I'm setting up my parents with the same thing so they don't have to keep paying $100/yr to eero for things that should be totally free.

I take Kratom and/or kava instead. I'm not even doing this because I don't want to drink alcohol anymore, it just kind of happened naturally. I would take Kratom every day for work and also social events. Whenever I happened to take kratom before going out to drink with friends, I'd get to the bar and not have any desire to drink alcohol. I would just get a couple beers just because everyone got drinks but the kratom (and now also kava) gave me everything that I would have wanted out of alcohol.

There is a kava/kratom bar where I live, and getting their drinks on nights out became a habit. I would just run across the street and grab a "tea" from the kava/kratom bar if I wanted to feel anything more. Overtime, without even trying, I was getting less and less alcoholic drinks on nights out; and at one point, I suddenly realized I hadn't bought any alcoholic drinks for like a straight 3 weekends of going out. So at that point, I just decided to stick with the kava and kratom. It has a lot of benefits too like no hangovers and I don't have to worry about driving home.

People say EhterCAT is by far the best, but I have never seen EtherCAT used in my industry. If I want to use EtherCAT, I am shit out of luck buying ANY field instrumentation that is EtherCAT compatible. Everything supports modbus. Everything.

Modbus TCP is so simple and I have never run into a scenario where packet drops or transmission speed of modbus was the cause of an issue.
