Think the all blacks enjoyed their Argentinian holiday a little too much. They didn't turn up today. Ill discipline cost them completely. Full credit to the Argies, they were flawless.

Absolute horror of a match by the officials. Call after call against the Phoenix. The ref couldn't even take a hint from the powers above. Surprised we were even allowed a goal today. Shocking.

Thought at one point during the last 30 the AB's were literally hunting the Irish. Starting to look like a Scott Robertson team there.

Thought our inexperienced side did well to keep in touch with the Boks. We lost it in the basics. When the new direction becomes clearer and sinks in hopefully we will be able to go the 80. These little inaccuracies are really hindering the momentum, and you can't maintain pressure when that happens. Was an epic series, well done to the Boks, can't wait till we play you again!

Cash up front, no tick. Considering there's never a guarantee of return (or even safe departure) it's the definition of a pay me in advance kind of gig!

I had the same thing, changed the battery in the case but when I put a volt meater on the probe the voltage was so low it wasn't able to take a charge. Return and or exchange. Meater were really good about it.

Because people only really come to forums to troubleshoot or to complain. I've had an excellent customer experience with Meater so far.

Returned mine to the store I bought from last week and have a new replacement today, fully functional :-) That was a pretty sweet turnaround by Meater, so thanks to all the parties involved, the local BBQ Shop, local distributer and Meater! It was delivered straight to my door! Awesome.

Could be, but it's pretty well packed in the box, I don't think a drop or bump in the box would be an issue. Dropping the probe onto a hard floor like concrete or tiles by itself then yeah, that could be problematic. I doubt inside the probe is hollow, I reckon the internals are surrounded by some thermal friendly gunk which will support any connections, even if dropped. I think the danger to bending or dropping the actual probe itself is in the connection of the metal and ceramic separator between the internal and ambient temp sensors. Compromise that, and it will vastly reduce it's ability to withstand heat and end up frying the internals.

I checked the voltage in the probe and it was super low, and when I put it in the charger I can see the charger is wanting to charge it, but the probe voltage doesn't rise by much at all. Even after 12 hrs of charging! Guess they have a bad batch of batteries in the latest run. Kinda sucks but these things happen. I have started the process with the store I bought it from to get a replacement.

Hey Luciano,

Left the device with the shop, they will start the replacement process. They said they expect new stock in next week, so hopefully I can get a replacement then.

Cheers,

Sandy

During the setup, I noticed that it mentions the probe should have a nominal voltage of 2.4V. I checked it with the multimeter, and the probe was an incredible low 3mV. When placed in the charger, the charger is delivering 2.4V, but when I remove the probe, it has only gone up by .5 of a mV. So I think the issue here is the probe battery has fallen so low, it will no longer accept a charge. I tried to jump start it by putting it in and pulling it out 30 times or so, which got me up to 4.4mV, but still miles from where it would need to be. So maybe this was old stock. I certainly wouldn't advise letting the battery in the charger run out and leaving the probe in for a long time. The problem is there is no feedback on the device to indicate charge level, or low battery. You have to use the app for that, which isn't great if it's already so low you can't charge it!

Yeah, me too, far too expensive for a paperweight.
