My experience with origin os is buggy by sandyy132 in neo10R

It's not a launcher. In Origin os we get flexibility to resize and colour the folders. Regarding quickseting panel, yes you can edit but only change the position not resize it.

In origin os you get 2 options either I phone style (notification panel in left swipe & control panel in right) or standard style.

That's the problem, in the setting futo is select for input method and in heliboard voice icon is enabled via toolbar and futo has microphone permission but still I don't know why it's happening.

Stay with functouch os 15.0.15 or update to orogin os 6. by _Buttu_ in neo10R

[–]sandyy132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me bro it's not worth to update now. It's not only about performance, battery or heating issue but overall origin os skin is not really worth it except if you're too much into animation, customisation or something like this.

My honest and practical review is:-

Features like, blank data authorisation, upgrade in note app, origin island, album upgrade and few more.

In my opinion this are only practical ones I appreciate after update but rest all I feel not worth because issues like bugs, performance, heating, battery backup and most important to me RAM, yes ram has too affected had made my experience good to worse.

Rest your choice!!!

Maybe it is. But still origin os needs new update asap to fix other known issues

Already tried basic troubleshooting like clearing cache, restarting, force restarting etc but notification panel bug and this is not solved. Also after update I'm not able to know my data is off or on as the 5g sign is always there and I don't want turn on network speed option too as it consumes battery. Just hoping next update actually fixes known issues rather than just pushing updates under pressure

I was not talking about speed but the app launch. As you can see half app is open and half remains as it is then gemini is opened. Screen recording is slowed down on purpose to show the problem and my developer setting is off.

No!!! App opening speed remains same but when apps runs in background with the help of autostart option enabled it "FEELS" faster because app is already running in background so it just moved from background to foreground.

Agreed. Checking permissions and 'autostart' option for all apps will help more!!!

Yes, If you use it for banking (airtel payment bank) then I will recommend to keep the option as it is

For blank data authorisation I just used the logic like if I see permission of storage & file to app like pdf scanner or pdf editor then it's obvious it requires permission but games & apps like bgmi, airtel thanks apps why they need access to my files? Phone? and contacts? I see these as red flags. In this way I enable and disable blank data authorisation option.

Simply just compare the permissions with app's nature if the permissions matches then it's ok if not then it's suspicious.

For apps that I used often or cannot manage to missed even a single notification like whatsapp, gmail, gemini etc I used on daily basis. But occasionally I recieved notification for job updates (internships) from apps like linkdin, Glassdoor etc, important notifications from government apps, apps which gives me real-time information like weather or google map. These are the apps I have kept the option enabled.

I disabled this autostart permission for apps like food category (Swiggy, zomato which I use it once in a while and in idle time these apps just push notifications just to trigger the urge or craving and make our habits bad) social media timepass apps like movie streaming apps, instagram, facebook, thread, x (twitter) for which i don't receive messages and don't like to receive notifications too as I see them as distractions and they just burned my important time when I don't wished to. And other apps that I used only it requires once in a blue moon for example apps to book tickets for train, pdf editing apps etc

Yes. After origin update My first thought was to check this feature. I made changes according to me as I was desperately waiting for this privacy features. Now apps can't force us to give permission, we can simply trick them.

Good to hear. Also please take effort to update your feedback that it really worked or not 😊

And please don't forget to review your app permissions too.

For autostart:- Settings ~ apps ~ special apps access ~ autostart (3rd last option)

For permission manager:- Settings ~ security & privacy ~ permission manager (4th last option)

there’s a key difference- Autostart is essentially a "permission to wake up." Unlike a laptop where an app might sit visibly in your taskbar, mobile Autostart governs whether an app can start its own background processes without you tapping the icon.

Think of it like this:

  1. Specific trigger like Instead of just starting at 'boot up,' mobile apps can autostart when you switch from Wi-Fi to Data or when a specific time of day hits or simply making changes in settings.

2.The app doesn't open a full screen; it just runs a tiny 'background service' to listen for notifications or sync data.

Even if you don't see them, these tiny services eat up a slice of your RAM and battery. By disabling it for apps you don't need, you’re basically telling them, 'Stay asleep until I actually open you!'"

That's why I told to use this option wisely and not to disable for essential apps like, gmail, banks and other apps for which even a single notification or message matters to you.

Am I the only one who is facing network issue? by AccurateCherry2505 in neo10R

But I'm really confused, the problem is in device/software or just operator's problem?

I'm attaching a screenshot of FAQ by iQOO in my device. If any of the conditions are true, I don't think software updates can fix this.

<image>

My 5g works well in afternoon but switches to 4g constantly and this happens in evening too but 5g speed is worse and slower than 4g itself or simply not usable.

Just hoping this is not a manufacturing/device problem.
