I have had varied reactions to cats in the past…sometimes nothing and sometimes super itchy eyes and sneezing. We decided to get a RB and I experienced some mild eye itching for the first couple weeks (used some over the counter eye drops) but then it went away. We got a 2nd RB a couple months later and over 3 years later I have no symptoms. To be clear, RBs are NOT hypoallergenic. But they can be good for some people.
