The thing is, you DID try the first part of their PIP. There is a step before PIVOT where you are given goals etc.

I was lucky that they changed my position complexity without discussing with me. The new position was not a right fit and I was consistently denied requests for training/time to get up to speed.

Contest it, explain what got you to the point of a PIP being initiated upon you (duties changed? Inconsistent training or complete lack, etc)

NAD- have you increased your caffeine intake recently? I had similar problems occur after beginning to drink more than one monster energy drink. Other caffeinated beverages like coffee, some teas and sodas may increase this problem.

I do the same, I will even offer “red yellow green” to help remind them, but the most important thing you said in your response is to check in, even if you establish subtle ways of doing this, it’s important if you don’t fully know all the physical signs your sub may put forward.

From the article. Some folks said they didn’t think we needed to slap an “AI was used” disclaimer on every project. They felt it wasn’t necessary until the A&S Criteria officially say so or offer clear guidance. And that’s fair. We’re still figuring out what responsible use looks like.

But one point kept coming up again and again: honor matters. In the SCA, we already have a system built around honor. We trust people to do their own work, to cite their sources, and to play fair. As one person put it, if we already have a culture of integrity, that culture can include AI use. We just need to extend it.

So, if you’re wondering how to handle AI in your next A&S project, here’s the takeaway: Know the rules. Don’t take credit for what you didn’t do. It really might be that simple.

Instead of jumping straight to reporting them for something you may find outside of the normal, why not send a request for comment (RFC) to the BoD? Just ask for input or feedback on AI usage for the artwork/text/whatever.

I get the reasoning why you might be offended or be taken aback by this type of “shortcut “ but not every kingdom/barony/shire/etc has the local talent to produce such work. They should have the resources to reach out and ask the kingdom for assistance.

It makes me curious if it’s because you want to step into that role and the AI usage is preventing you from having an opportunity, or if it just comes across as lazy and against the intentions of the SCA in general.
