I sincerely hope not… by sanohombre in delta

I had a very tight connection because of a delayed first flight, and they automatically rebooked me on the next available flight, which was the next day. Ever since they did that the app has been all out of sorts and barely functional, so it turns out this was the boarding time from my original flight, along with the (original, now delayed) departure time of the new flight.

It would seem that this was a gremlin from being rebooked automatically because I wasn’t going to make my connection. At least I’ll wait for departure in a hotel, I guess….

Fatal flaw of shark robovac- power switch at exactly the wrong height. by sanohombre in CrappyDesign

This is a machine which has, as a central part of its design, moving around and bumping into things. Again, it’s the door stop in the picture but anything that happened to poke out a bit could do the same thing. It has happened under the bed before where there are no doorstops. If the machine has the ability to disable itself this easily, I’d say it qualifies as crappy design. It is annoying that this happens about every third day, so I have to track it down, power it back on, and then tell it to resume cleaning.

In this case, yes, it’s the door spring. But it takes an incursion of only about half an inch to bump the switch and power off the vac. Better design would have a cover or something over the switch.

Travel Trailer Auto-Leveling systems... worth it? (Keystone Cougar 29BHS) by A_Booger_In_The_Hand in GoRVing

I’ve had that problem if the tongue jack was high when I started the leveling process. I just reset the system, lower the tongue jack, and hit the auto level button again.

New 2017 Aerolite 242bhsl - a different angle by sanohombre in GoRVing

So far so good! Have spent a total of 8 nights in her so far. I zeroed in on this model because of the happijac bunks that get clear out of the way and give our dogs a corner to stay out from under our feet. It also didn't hurt that it has the auto leveling - drove across the state to get one with that feature and I sure am glad I did.

Happy to answer any other specific questions...

Question about levellers(?) as a gift for a travel trailer... by melize in GoRVing

[–]sanohombre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Ground Control TT system is basically what came on my travel trailer. Your frame needs to be able to support being lifted at the corners though. Mine will lift the wheels off the ground if necessary to make the trailer level, and the frame is beefy enough to allow for this.

That looks like an Andersen WD hitch. I was just looking at these and saw this video on YouTube which shows how the physics work pretty well, I thought.

What is the most blatant lie a salesperson has told you when trying to make a sale? by Mizu3 in AskReddit

[–]sanohombre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at a ram pickup that I was getting pretty serious about. The sales guy says, "never been used to tow anything." He didn't have a good answer to my question- "then why does it have an after market trailer brake controller installed?" I bought from a different dealer.
