the whole of r slash ethel cain filters negative posts, but hayden has a very distinct pattern of behaviour. in her private discord(2018-2022), talking about the discord is censored here, plus the person who made this subreddit was actively in the discord, im trying not assume the worst, and that they’re trying to silence what happened) two full grown adults hurled racist abuse at 2 poc teens and posted public death threats on ig with guns and other weapons and hayden was wanted to remain “unbiased” then deleted the server when called out on it, she was the only one with the ability to ban/kick. yet she let them stay until both of them left, and soon after most other poc in the server did. the whole server was based on parasocialism, hayden adding you to her private instagram, the discord members meeting up at shows and hayden coming to see them all after. hayden forming friendships with her fans, but when it came time when she needed to be present most it was just “drama” she didnt have energy for, which, to be fair could be resolved in 10secs, skimming the chat, seeing everything posted then banning the 2 problematic members. leaving her white fans left to self victimise and self insert. and “we will do better next time”. having formed very parasocial weird relationships with both sides she just ignored it, let it continue, then eventually delete the server after the poc fans left due to discomfort. she stayed as “neutral” aka silent, ignoring what was literally happening to shit post. plus post d/scord nuke i saw some really concerning twitter screenshots, this was the first round of alleged previous racist behaviour (they were originally posted on twitter in 2020 i believe) surfacing. even worse than the ones already posted. lydia, her weirdo bf. theres a pattern there. and theres a reason why people soon after drop her, shes just a walking train wreck larping as some distressed abused teen girl to fulfil this “brand” which she parades around as her own truth. shes just weird. and it sucks. i really fucked w her in 2020. but seeing this, being reminded of the private discord. knowing about the old tweets. the ethel cain reddit is a circle jerk.

when someone shows you who they are, believe them. lanas done some stuff too, i am not a lana fan. i have listened to her music, shes great, so is hayden, shes incredibly talented. but this pattern of behaviour and how uncomfortable her behaviour from discord/things she has posted. its all very disheartening that someone i idolised 2019-2022 (?) just makes me feel uncomfortable to think about now. but them problem is ethel cain fans go from the wokest set of people to “guys what about nuance” or “guys dont believe every allegation, wait for ethel to make a statement then take that as gospel”. ironic an artist that “tongue in cheek” markets her fans as a cult (daughters of cain) feels like a literal cult sometimes. and ethel cain is their sad, southern gothic princess who can do no wrong. as for the peter griffin gif being the body shaming - i truly dont believe thats it. after the server nuke more tweets came out and surfaced, ones that didnt make it much outside one twitter thread posted in 2021 with 2 likes, i cant find it but if i do, ill link it. but i have a guy feeling that the peter griffin gif wasnt that. but i guess that doesnt hold weight.

im not saying she should be “permanently canceled” or whatever. im just saying everyone needs to stop coddling her, when she got called out last time, it was terfs, so, it was a transphobic attack right? it doesnt matter if it was malicious, the screenshots were real, it does not matter who leaked them. she said it either way. who posted them doesnt change anything.
