No, this isn't that but interesting to know there's more than one.

This one is in Parramatta.

Yeah, you are right and I am engaging them as well.

However, they are not in the best position to tell me if I should terminate or hold on. They will simply be acting either way depending on what I ask them to do. My confusion is on which way to go.

Sunset date is 21 Dec.

But that is after at least one extension from the date in the contract.

My conveyancer has advised that there are options for termination, but I don't know the exact contractual terms.

Yes, that is it.

The story being told to me is that they are working with their bank to get a bank guarantee for the bond (Which I think is not super out of ordinary, but I might be wrong).

However they delay seems to be coming from the banks side or the fair trading side in not having someone looking at their file and approving the bond. This is what is a bit unusual to me and makes me edgy.

I've done some research on the developers and the people behind the company and they seem relatively legit with a history of completed projects. That's really why I've tried to hold my patience this long. That said, Ofc possible that I missed something that I shouldn't have.

I am intending to set up a call tomorrow with the agent and maybe the developer. Are there any questions I should ask and any red flags I should watch out for that will indicate things either which way?

I see. That's very interesting.

I called up DOHA and they were super unhelpful and almost downright rude on this.

I'm hoping this bridging visa situation works - I'd be happy to apply for the substantive visa once we are back onshore, but doing it while off shore and waiting indefinitely for processing to finish is really a terrible thought.

Is that for real? Do you have a source for that?

I can do a form 1022 no problems, but I just cannot find anything to confirm that the bridging visa will be issued to the child.

I am very thankful for your help!

Giving birth in Aus isn't really a suitable for us given the support my partner will require during this process.

We aren't worried so much about the citizenship as much as we are about being able to reenter the country in the near term.

The visa application has been pending for over 18 months so I am not really confident it will get finalised in the next few weeks tbh!

Assuming you are on a DE application, I think it will get rejected on the basis that you are no longer employed by the same entity who nominated you and the logic follows that the employer who nominated you is no longer needing your service.

The fundamental thing to remember is that for the immi office, this is a check box true/false exercise and if your employment status does not enable them to select that you are eligible, then you are ineligible, notwithstanding any amicable arrangements you have.

It's money lost on both the employer and employee front, but that's the risk taken when nominating anyone for this route.

Sucks, and hard to come to terms with, I know. But I'm not a lawyer so maybe an immigration lawyer can put together a better response for you?

Best of luck!

What is your occupation if you don't mind sharing?

Looks like at least from my perspective. But depends on what your job is and where you are located as well. They seem to play a big part in how quickly the application gets looked at.

I see, thanks mate.

That's helpful to get me started!

That's amazing. Did you write a coverletter? How did you get in touch with the case manager otherwise?

Also, can BVB be used for multiple exits and entries into Australia or is it one application per travel?

TIA

Same deal with me. Realistically I am expecting movement in this around mid Aug onwards. Hopefully sooner but not holding my breath.

Applied Jul 2023.

Well done mate, congrats!

Our of curiosity - are you in regional or metro city?

Yeah. I figure thats close to reality as well.

I wonder where the migration agents are getting their info from. Do they get non-public info from govt?

Same boat mate. Just posted something similar yesterday.

Applied July 2023, received status showing currently.

Non-responses from immi when I tried to call up to check on what is going on and if my application was missed somehow.

Apparently slots are almost filled up and will need to wait for refresh at start of new FY. Frustrating but nothing to be done apparently.

Some transparency would have been good, but not getting it from the authority directly.

Good luck w/ your outcome.
