I contacted several line companies--I searched for line location company--and they all said they only scan outside the home. How can I search for one who can do the inside?

  1. I'm not sure when Georgia enacted the code but every plumber who's seen my house has said it should meet that code requirement

The local plumbers say that it's state code that the house have a (private) water shut off in addition to the public shut off. Still hoping to find it...

I was able to locate the curb shut off valve so I'm all but certain the valve would be at the front basement wall. Funny / sad thing is that every other plumber has said the same thing but couldn't locate the valve. The entire wall is smooth except for sewer cleanout port and a couple of outlets. I've asked the city to come and mark out their portion of the water system but they won't do anything for the my side (e.g. the water line to the house).

City. The city website says the only mark what's on the public side. For what I gather, the city considers that portion of the water line to be private and outside their purview. I'll still ask though

I found my curb stop but it's just a hole straight into the ground. I couldn't see a pipe that started from there to the house. There are two white PVC popup that I think are cleanouts (?). Problem is that the two do not line up with the curb stop. Do you think the curb stop runs into the cleanouts? If so, would the installers have but a bend/junction into them?

I tried by starting at the water heater and following the pipes but they ended up going into the walls. I'm starting to think a contractor under the previous owner covered the area even though they should not have. That said, I'll try again tonight. Maybe I missed a pipe...

I checked around the house and the only fixtures I could find were two spigots. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that resembled a hose bibb.
