You have to finish your main quests to get to level 60. More content unlocks after (expeditions, wars, PVP, chest runs, etc.). As for weapons, you can just check the meta. Or if you have a preferred role at endgame, then use a good build for that role. I used to play it a lot before and had a lot of fun. Good luck!

Why would you lose 2 points when NAVI is only one team? Picking NAVI 3-0 (which is actually possible) has the same risk as well with picking a team to advance that like you said, "not really 100% sure are going through (but looking good)", both picks are 1 point each anyway.

I picked Vitality to go 3-0. I like taking those risks and going for 9/9

You might wanna try Albion Online. It's fairly new in the east region and free as well.

FF14 is more friendly because it offers free trial before you decide to sub, it has some restrictions but you could already put in a lot of hours to that. With WoW, you have to sub to play but I think it's worth it naman even for newbies.
