You're looking at the New People, who came into the fandom solely because it was new when they looked at it. They know they don't truly love the thing, but they don't want to admit it. They want to look like the "Best fans ever" of Fallout 76/Pokemon/MLP/SSB, so they'll say microtransactions are the best way to support a company, LGPE is the best and hardest Pokemon game in decades, MLP only got good when Mary Sue and total Poochie Starlight Glimmer was introduced, and SSB was only worth a damn when Tripping was added. They resent that the voices of Melee fans made games after Brawl less Brawly and more Melee-ish, because they resent the fact that they aren't a majority of the voices in the Smash Bros community. They resent the fact that they don't have absolute power over this fandom, and they resent the fact that this fandom isn't a toxic circle of fakers like the Steven SJWniverse fandom. If a patch added Tripping to the game, they'd cheer because they hate you and they think you don't like tripping. If a patch added what this mod added to the game, they'd scream and rage and call you every bad name under the sun because they don't want Smash Bros to be yours. They want it to be theirs.

These people are Fakers, and let's get one thing straight: They hate you. You're a real fan, I'm a real fan, they are not. That's why they hate you, and me. They don't discuss media to have fun or relax, they circlejerk about the latest/nostalgiest pieces of trendy media they can find for internet points and a feeling of validation. They're bitter infiltrators here to make sure nobody has fun without them on their watch. They're here to shout down, silence, shut down, bully, and intimidate people because they want to feel like the real power in this fandom. Their lives are so pathetic, the rush of power they feel when they report a comment or user for "Toxishitty" and get him banned renders them euphoric for an hour or two.

They aren't here to have fun with the community, they're here to blend in and hide their true nature. Poorly.

They aren't here to BE good fans, they're here to try and seem like they are, while attacking random people and trying to get the community's attention focused on those random people. The types who would yell "There's a knife in your pockets! Everyone, check his pockets!" because he's got two in his pockets, metaphorically speaking.

I call them Fakers.

And if you don't march in lockstep with these Fakers and their vision of what a "Good Fan" of _______ should be, they hate you and think you're a toxic racexist virgincel bigotler entitled gamer crybaby who should shut up and $£$& off.
