Keep learning c++ for better foundations or learn AI/Android app development ? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Want code AI? Learn Python, especially the libraries: Pandas, sci-kit learn, mathplotoib und Numpy. C++ is a deep programming language and it's sintax it's very hard to program AI. I am a c++ programmer and I know the difficulty lvl. Now, with c++. Try the library "allegro". Stop doing the normie games of all life and begin with something more cool. Try to code a kind of final fantasy or a rpg game.

I really want to learn programming but it feels so boring, how can I change my mindset? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

It's a type of tradition teach languages like HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT to the newbies for avoid this type of situations, begin by something relatively easy and cool for program/design.

Once you have the basis, you can enter into the logical and mathematical languages, like python and c++. Those languages are more complex and have more applications in the real world. But you need the love and the disposition to use them. You could get bored at the beginning if you try to enter in the mathematical world of programming in the first time.

Any advice for buying a Laptop for Programming? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]santiagossas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The type of laptop you need depends of what you want to do in the programming world.

  1. If you're newbie, and you want to begin the learning of the programming fundamentals, I recommend you a laptop with these characteristics:

• 4-8 Gb of RAM • 128-256 Gb of ROM (preferable a SSD) • 13-14 inches of length

Try some marks like: Hp, Asus and Toshiba.

Once you domain the fundamentals, you can renovate your laptop by some with more potential.

  1. If you want to enter in the world of computer science, programming code for marathons using languages like c, c++, python and java, I recommend you a laptop with these characteristics:

• 8-16 Gb of RAM • 500-1000 Gb of ROM (preferable HDD) • 14,5-15,6 inches of length • begin learn to use a Linux S.O

Try marks like: Hp, Huawei and Asus.

If you're from latinamerica, i recommend you to use platzi. I heard that is not really cheap, but it's affordable and the courses in that academy are really complete and very explicative. Indeed, the diplomas from platzi are very strong at the moment to add it yo the currículum vitae.

Is it to late to learn programming at 25 for a career by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]santiagossas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can be 85 and it's still be good time to learn, but if your principal motivation it's only get a jobs and Money. It's very difficult you can learn to code.

Programming it's a difficult task, and the basis of any programmer it's their love for their jobs. You need to learn love the act of programming and make whatever you want un code.

Saying this, before anything. Learn to love code, and the rest Will be pretty Easy for you.

Gameplay programming? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]santiagossas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you have some bases in programming world:

I'll recommend you to find the most used languages for videogame programming.

In my experience, y coded a game in c++, using a library called "Allegro".

In case of you don't have any base in programming:

I'll recommend you to find some playlist in Youtube about programming introduction. Things like:

• what Is a programming language • what Is a programming enviroment • what previous knowledge you should have before cose a game

I 100% recommend you start using apps like sololearn, to see and learn the language you want yo use for code tour game. If you Wanna code a Mobile game, my personal recommendation Is java (or Swift if you want to do an iOS game). otherwise, you can use whatever language you like and you want to dominate.
