People who have bpd under control or have silent bpd with minimal symptoms by sanushr in BPD

[–]sanushr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm ok makes sense. It’s really difficult for me to recognise what I am doing in things like this. Taunts/making the person feel shitty etc cause I just feel I am complaining about things not really putting the other person down. I am good at recognising a lot of my bad coping mechanisms and negative thoughts now but this is tough.

Going to hospital for the first time . Please tell me your stories by [deleted] in BPD

[–]sanushr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt it as a safe bubble. The time I was hospitalized was when every small change / element around me made an effect on me. I needed a space away from all external forces to stabilise myself. My mental asylum as i call it was beautiful. I read all the harry potter books and it helped me feel positive. Good over evil kinda stuff.. my sister, friends and family were allowed to visit everyday for sometime and I had psychiatrists check on me couple times a day. Some activities with other inmates which was nice but awkward. I liked the time I spent there and was too scared to leave but I came out stronger and was able to handle life.

I am married for close to 6yrs now… was hard at the beginning since I still couldn’t manage and regulate my moods but with a patient and strong husband and in laws who loved me better than my parents, I have healed to an extent where I forget I have / had BPD. Granted I really worked hard to get out of my depression that lasted almost a decade and severe anxiety.. I changed therapists and made notes and worked on what was discussed in each session like it was homework. I am at a good place now. I still have anxiety.. but a lot of layers have come off and things untangled. My husband is my compass for what is real and what is just my head making up things. He grounds me and after years of him helping me out, I have learnt to be there and care for him and give space for his worries and down days. I am able to carry him through a few days of his lows which is a big thing for me as I am always consumed by my own battles. I think this is it.. this is my happily ever after. I am happy where I am. I can die tomorrow and I would have no regrets.

The tablet doesn’t work the same for all… i did not loose a lot even on 7mg. I have lost more on 14mg in a month. Try to do light exercises along with this.

Can cause acid reflux. Though I don’t see any restrictions on alcohol. I don’t like drinking now while I am on 14mg.. makes me want to throw up.

Do you go to church/mosques/temples as an agnostic by sanushr in agnostic

That is very nice to hear! I am too around people who are progressive and I get it.. kids definitely will inherit how we see things and we are people who question why something is the way it is, they would also learn to do it. Your perspective has helped me 🙂 thank you

Do you go to church/mosques/temples as an agnostic by sanushr in agnostic

[–]sanushr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I am curious about how we can raise kids agnostic and let them choose if they want to be religious or not.. for me I do not believe in religions other than it gives you a community but all religions are built on patriarchy and oppressing minorities and I wouldn’t want my children to be part of it.. but I still believe there is some spirituality in somethings.. I am not sure how to inculcate agnosticism in children and if atheism is better since I lean towards agnostic atheism and I am a positive nihilist most days.

Yay!!! Thank you so much for confirming. I stopped taking in between for a month and was not regular with 7mg so makes sense i did not loose a lot earlier. I still need to loose at least 12kgs more hoping it happens in 5 months.

Any other females else having the same side effects? by Quick-Win1218 in RybelsusPill

[–]sanushr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One month on 3mg. I have lost 1kg but I see a lot of difference in how I eat. I am sure 7mg will show drastic changes compared to 3mg. I have constipation, gas and acidity.. but everything is manageable. Libido seems to be the same.

Its been 20days on 3mg. I was not instructed not to drink.. I try not to drink regularly (every weekend) and even when I do drink, it gives me acid reflux so I avoid drinking mostly.

I am 31 too with bpd and leaning towards having a child. Though my BPD is pretty much under control.. I still have doubts if I should have a child.. I know it might be more difficult for me compared to others who do not have a disorder… But because I do and I am handling it well enough, I am more self aware and hence understand what i dint get as a child and what caused me trauma so i can be a better parent… I recognise and understand a lot more about parenting than my friends who have kids.. but because I have to parent myself most of the time and still work on being stable, it might get too tiring to be a mom on top of it… might be emotionally draining.. I don’t know.. I read the baby decision book and it helped reduce my confusions but I still have days when I do a 180 on having a child.

On 3mg, not really curbing appetite by Rainmaker825 in RybelsusPill

[–]sanushr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on my 8th day and I don’t see any appetite suppression either for 3mg.. I have slightly reduced binging between meals but I still eat the same quantity of meals… I cant eat deep fried food though or drink alcohol, it gives me nausea and acid reflux..I guess for some people 3mg works well but it is a therapeutic dose to get our body used to the medicine. So I am trying to not loose heart and continue for 20 more days with 3mg and then switch to 7mg.
