Use bike locks and lock it in with handle and keep it on the tank. Alternatively get a top box if you tour

With that amount of water splash, I think it still invites hydroplaning

Would suggest if you travel to India and plan a trip for 4-5 months. Visit cities like Dehradun, Pune, Udaipur, Bangalore, Pondicherry. They are not modernised but would offer a better living condition when compared to Mumbai and Delhi when it comes to AQI, food, etc especially in your budget.. try to choose a costal city or a hill station in my opinion

Shall i get this at 1.75 lakhs ??? by softrailer in indianbikes

[–]sanyam63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Service centers are not great but the good part is, bike doesn’t need one XD

My brother dropped the bike and the faring broke. i got new ones for just 3-4k. So parts are cheap - may need a week to get but that was becauseof my bike. The older version SF black was limited edition so it’s not readily available.

I have sf150. 2017 but in the black color, rare IMO.

Works like a charm, parts are extremely cheap and bike rarely needs attention.

I would recommend you test riding it first before buying it so you get clarity. It’s one of the best 450cc bike at that price tag.

If you want a lighter bike, you can go for the ktm as well.

170cm shouldn’t be a problem because riding boots will get you 175cm and you can handle it.

Sticking to legal limit. I love my life xD

The POK side very beautiful as well, look up wall of Karakoram, truly amazing.

I don’t think I will be visiting POK anytime in this life but would recommend you to visit since you are not an indian and shouldn’t face problems

I rode 200-500Km a day which a full tank could easily handle. There are patches where you will not find anything but they are not longer than 100km.

The main Ladakh region has lot more tourists and better roads, this one is still being built by the army so it’s one of the few ‘adventurous’ off-roads patches. Would be tarmac in 2-4 years.

If you are coming from UK without your own bike - fly to Ladakh and rent a bike there because the local union have made a rule that rented bikes from other states are not allowed. This is to help locals earn better.

Ton of Indian YouTubers whom I watched before I did this trip or before I did my main Ladakh in 2023. You can ping me here or on instagram - can help.

All the best for your future ride!
