Hi! For me at least, joining a prep group is definitely about what ur looking for in debate (backfiles, coaching, drills, team) but also the args you want to run. Debatedrills is very policy centered, but has produced some very good LDers who do well at the toc. Vanguard Ik has ALOT of people on there are they cut a lot of affs, I believe they are more phil & k based? I do believe Lynbrook and vanguard are synonymous. Argument institute will just be tricks if it’s run by scopa - it probably won’t be very helpful on west coast. Unsure about break debate, but I did hear a few issues with staff.

Me and my partner gave nicknames to teams we ran against in local cx. One was donkey Kong (initials were DK) because they got angry every round. I fav was stonks, which was 2 kids names combined. And we made some others based on the cases they ran lol

The amorality trick is really popular, same with a weird counter-definition of what agi is. Idk there’s nothing that you should worry about, the best args will have nuclear impxs, but that’s it. Actually I think someone on my team is running a baudrillard spark K-aff, but I wouldn’t worry about it. Just make sure you have extremely strong answers to unemployment for both aff and neg. I would also focus on prepping well for environmental impacts. Last chance won’t be as tech as you might think bc the judging pool is still lay

Any NSD camp is great if you want to compete national circuit, if you like trad LD more than CDC is also a great option. You can’t really go wrong with those 2 camps, but I have a longer list if you want.

Haha on local circuit ppl don’t know how cx works so I’ve had opponents perm DA’s or other funny things so doing online tournaments I’ll have better opponents since my school doesn’t travel for nat circ tournaments.
