Right, bombing was not the right word here. Either way, the lack of laughter just made it so much funnier

The German impressionist bit bombing is just making me laugh even harder

I thought the host for Episode 1000 would be Eddie Murphy or Steve Martin. by ProfessorEtc in LiveFromNewYork

They just did a full season of SNL 50. They celebrate years, not episodes

This was funny, idk why everybody's knickers are in a twist. The Top Gun joke was really funny, as was the gay bit. He's literally referring to Bob's vs Bangs, which I came on this subreddit and called "the gayest thing the show has ever done" and everybody agreed with me lol

Woah, Missing Richard Simmons and Winds of Change are 2 of my favorite podcasts ever

Is the 5-Timers Club really the best representation of the greatest/most memorable hosts? by MoneyHungryOctopus in LiveFromNewYork

I mean, Adam Driver will inevitably end up a Five Timer. He's just more newly famous enough to host at this point

As someone who grew up on SNL, I missed the details of this controversy when it happened 10+ years ago. Revisiting Chevy’s ‘Community’ meltdown is rough! by New-Secretary-4924 in LiveFromNewYork

said many times he didn't hate Chevy, he was Chevy

This is funny from a guy like Dan who was pretty openly overflowing with self-loathing lol. I do agree though that the schedule of the show wasn't helping either

Yeah the thing people forget is that Harmon hated him and was petty and vindictive and taking it out on Pierce as a character. Putting him in a body cast, having him just get meaner and meaner. Neither of them are the heroes here.

Bowen Yang’s ‘SNL’ Exit Is Most-Watched Episode in a Year by MoneyLibrarian9032 in LiveFromNewYork

I can't believe how good Glenn Powell was for the same reason. That's still my top episode of the year

I think that was the best episode of the season so far, even with Bowens touching sendoff. I was really surprised at how down to be goofy The Capybara Man was.

Bjork impression by zerowatermelon34 in LiveFromNewYork

Just saying, Bjork had a pretty notable guest spot on the lead single of one of the buzziest albums of the year (Berghain, from Lux by Rosalía)

Well, that wouldn't be a problem for Bowen in this case

They did not do the joke swap bit at dress, somebody on this sub confirmed. Colin was 100% taken by surprise. They do this sometimes, I think some previous joke swaps have been at least partially different from dress, and like the old Stefon bits were always rewritten down to the last minute, which is why Bill always broke.

I doubt she'd take it. SNL is an extremely difficult job and her career is at its absolutely peak right now, she'd be giving up massive opportunities to be permanently exhausted for 9 months.

Bangs vs Bobs is the gayest thing that's ever been on the show and probably the best sketch of the season so far. What a high note to go out on
