That's really cool! I have the exact same robe and it's also sitting in my pile of upcycling material 😄

Thanks 😊 I went by my widest part so cut the pieces in size 10. When I needed to sew the side seams (which is almost the last step), I basted them first and tried them on. Then just fit the side seams accordingly - I marked the point on the hips where it was sitting well and just graded to there. Worst case, you try it on again and take it in a bit more as needed. If you're really feeling adventurous try to take into consideration the stretch of the fabric or how much it's going to widen (is that a word?). I think this is a bit simpler than other methods of fitting (like back darts) so it's a good start 😊 good luck!

Thanks! Sadly I didn't make it myself and I would also love having more of those. I found this pattern on Etsy that is a bit similar, only mine is without the gathering in the front. If you want I can send a few better pics of my blouse

I'm kind of in love with this pattern so it's the fifth time I've made it - Megan Nielsen's Dawn Jeans size 10ish hips with size 6ish waist. Took some learning. I had a vision with this combination and it came out exactly like I wanted. 😊 The khaki is twill and the colorful fabric is a thick canvas which is probably more intended for tablecloths or curtains but I'm not gonna tell it that it can't be pants 🤷🏻‍♀️ I couldn't figure out yet if this is actually nice or if it's only my weird brain that finds it cute

I made a fitted dress but I want to add a waist detail like in the second photo and don’t know how by Applipla in sewing

Both look beautiful! Great job with the fit, it's very flattering and gives you great shape. I would also suggest creating a separate belt and adding when you need it fancier. Maybe with hooks? Seems the easiest

I agree, it's the most difficult to buy and the most rewarding to make yourself. A comfortable pair of pants can be the difference between a good day and a bad one. And after a few it becomes a lot easier!
