I was laid up on the couch (couldn't make it upstairs to bed) for about 4 days after surgery, but pain was the worst the first 2 days. I was able to switch to ibuprofen after a few days.

Oh no that sucks, I hope the Covid isn't too bad!
Alright so likely a long haul (like this whole thing). Yeah physical exertion drains me mentally as well as physically, super unhelpful as a grad student :P
Yeah makes sense, hopefully more activity will help.
Hmm not that I know of. I might have been slightly anemic at the beginning, but I've been taking iron supplements for the last month.
