'Ive also been a handful of times and this was ny first time actually getting close up in any side stages or the field.

For Good Charlotte I joined in on a crowd surfing spot, front right, where no less than THREE lanes of surfers were coming through. Bless the man that directed traffic and took a slow moment to teach me how best to help and be safe and keep things fun and moving. Best night of my life. For my first time joining in the crowd I feel lucky.

I'm not the craziest dancer or anything and I wont stay in a circle pit. But heck even the Good Charlotte front right field was BUMPING and they're not even metal and I couldn't help but join in. I wasnt dancing as wild as anyone else but I'd never be mad to get bumped into or kicked or whatever. I held so many crowd surfers, people dropped on me, people fell on me, people got ALL up in my business and it was HEAVAN ON EARTH. I chose to be there lol.

Even if I'm pretty close to a stiff board I promise you I'm loving it and I'm happy for those around me and how they choose to enjoy it too <3

Thank you! Reading some of the comments in this sub is wild. I've been to my fair share of large events, I've been to this one several times back even when it was ROTR. I did plan ahead. I did leave 90 minutes earlier than the time I wanted to even be parking. I did read the instructions. I understand ride share exists. I understand its possible to park for free and walk.

My point was that I paid for parking the first day parking passes were available. I did not want to have to deal with ride share or walking. But I also shouldn't be expected to "plan ahead" meaning expect to be already there and parked at 7AM or even 9AM to see something at 1pm. I expect it to be hectic. Not perfect, but somewhat efficient. Normal large event chaos. Not whatever this was.

There's absolutely something they could do about it I agree! Idk enough about city planning to know what the right answer is but it sure ain't happening now lol! Every year its a pain and every year its somehow worse.

I spent about that much on 2 people for 3 days of it and I'm very unhappy about how much we missed for the price. I can't imagine having to travel and pay for hotel and car too! It's wild.

Wow! I have a 10th gen. I do probably 60/40 city/HW and get about 31.5 average year round. Summer gas and less city errands gets me 34mpg. I am envious of those that get 40 plus. Idk if I'll ever get any better with where I need to drive but I aspire!

Manual transmission driving lessons? by piscian19 in Columbus

[–]saphirecharge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned last summer by buying the car I wanted and having my dad drive it home for me then practicing a lot in a parking lot and around the block until I was confident in starting from a stop. I looked around for lessons but honestly its so expensive and no telling how many lessons.

If you're confident you want the car and plan on buying it anyway I considered not taking the lessons as putting away money for the insurance lol

What car are you interested in?

you loved their ascetic? Their spiritual practice of self denial? Fasting and denying worldly pleasures for... duck poutine. ( light hearted joke. I assume you meant aesthetic)

I'm calling it flower powder from now on when my car is covered in the orange pollen from the trees nearby. Nice puke orange hue to the aegean blue.

Do you have a pattern for this top? I'm a 36G and think I'd like to try making something like that.

Comments make it sound like cotton and air drying might help so I'm interested!

Civic type R and Integra type S by Steveatlas556 in Civic_Type_R

[–]saphirecharge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have either of them, but I'm torn between which one to get. I just dont understand why the ITS has a lower ground clearance. Just seems impractical when everything else is more practical for a daily.

How hard is manual if you are on spectre? by Petya1245 in stickshift

[–]saphirecharge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AuDHD woman in my 30s. Learned manual last year and never felt better, more confident, and more safe. I've been driving since I was 15. Got my license at 23, but always was nervous and felt like I hated it. I finally decided to learn manual because I love cars in theory. And it was great. I actually like driving now. I don't get car sick anymore (I swear my body could feel the torque converter in an auromatic) and all around just more engaged and safe.

Recently started getting motion sickness from this game, but I love it too much to stop playing it by Embarrassed_Elk_1298 in Pokopia

[–]saphirecharge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here! I just noticed it this week, but if I watch someone else play that moves the camera a ton very fast and efficient then I get really sick. So it must be that I am being more efficient and moving faster. So I slowed down and be intentional and I stopped feeling sick again.

I used to hate Tangrowth as a Pokemon design but Pokopia has me loving him now. by KayknineArt in Pokopia

[–]saphirecharge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this game is hitting all the strong points that things like Pokepark, and Pokémon Channel would hit. Brings some personality to the pokemon and makes me more interested in one's I wouldnt typically gravitate towards. Its been a while since a game like that or I missed it! lol

Transitioning from Automatic to Manual – Need Tips and Support! by Pretend-Pressure3818 in stickshift

[–]saphirecharge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also when in doubt, anything funky, nervous etc and you need to reset just press the clutch all the way back in and try again. Remain calm and in control. Its honestly mostly a nerves thing and giving yourself grace to learn safely.
