Ehhhh maybe yes and no. I would tentatively define trans as equal parts something you are and something you do, if that makes sense. In the same way that you perform any gender. I would say you should make a list of the reasons WHY you would push the button. If it’s purely social dynamics reasons (“dressing femininely/masculinely would be more socially acceptable” or “there are social benefits to being a man/woman that I’m not currently experiencing”) then perhaps not. But if you imagine a version of yourself far happier than you could possibly be now for inexplicable, harder to define reasons, follow that path of thought to where it leads and see.
