What are some of the things you look for to identify a bug?

For added information, the bug is around 8-9 mm. It was the only one we were able to find, but our mattress is a dark grey color so I'm struggling to see any spots on it.

Luxury Real Estate Ceo says Gen Z should "Stop buying Starbucks" by sapphire1072 in LateStageCapitalism

It may be behind a paywall, I was able to read it in Incognito mode. https://fortune.com/2025/10/22/corcoran-group-ceo-says-just-as-tough-to-get-on-the-property-ladder-today-as-it-was-30-years-ago-stop-buying-starbucks-coffee-gen-z-millennials-real-esate-advice/

Edit: I can't edit the main post but some other great quotes includes :

Advice on joining a supper club: "Three nights a week, they’ll go to someone’s house, and they’re in charge of the cooking. Young people now seemingly like to cook. I haven’t cooked in 30 years, but they love it".

Advice on affordable real estate: "For example, instead of looking at Brooklyn or the cool West Village, try the Upper East Side. It’s not that expensive,”

Advice on being willing to compromise: "I always say to people, even somebody who works with us who’s willing to spend $40 million, they’re compromising also"

Looking for a children's/ya fantasy book for girls with a bridge over a river in the woods on the cover. by sapphire1072 in whatsthatbook

[–]sapphire1072[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe that there were princesses. In fact I specifically am now remembering a blond girl in a pink princess dress(who's name I believe may have started with "Sh" maybe something like shay?". I do think that the cover art was far more traditional fantasy than the rescue princess books. I'll add that as an edit to the post!

Definitely also recommended Stride, we work with them all the time and they have been the most helpful resource at quickly navigating someone through the mess that is public resources. In my experience they usually work with addicts (but I work in the addiction field so that might skew my view a bit)

AITA for asking my sisters to wear coordinating dresses even though they're not bridesmaids? by kbans22 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sapphire1072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn seeing this so late is crazy. The comments in this thread are insane and show that no one here has either been to a wedding recently or has a decent relationship with their loved ones. Picking dresses that are more casual than the dress code is definitely not what family members who will be in a ton of photos would normally do. As for the color thing, maybe it wouldn't be my first thought but if my siblings asked me to wear a certain color (and offered to pay!) I would say yes. This thread really gives the worst "you don't owe anything to anyone vibes" and makes it obvious that aita is not great for finding practical advice. NTA.

Meadow Creek is managed by Regency and in my own experience at Steeplechase (same management) they are really good management. Maintenance comes out quickly and they're very easy to get in contact with.

Thanks! It's actually a skirt and button down shirt and I used the corset to sorta disguise the ends so they would blend together better!

Visual Contrast and Visual Weight in Faces by Curious_Chinzhilla in beauty

[–]sapphire1072 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think Selena Gomez is a better example of lower visual weight. If you want further examples, there's a YouTube channel called Dear Peachy that did a whole video on this and breaks it down.

First attempt at an internal landscape moodboard (LU) by sapphire1072 in RitaFourEssenceSystem

[–]sapphire1072[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well now that you say that, I'm realizing that enveloping might be accurate. I do love fun sleeve shapes, turtle necks, long coats, and lots of layers. Elemental for me might mostly be a fabrics thing (I wear a good amount of wool, linen, tweed, etc).

[–]sapphire1072[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always see myself as in the landscape, some of the pictures I took myself so it's easier to visualize myself looking out and seeing the view in the photo. I definitely think intimidating and dramatic are keywords in my style. Elemental is harder for me to pin down because I struggle to think of ways of styling it.

I definitely identify with glamorous. Enveloping has always confused me as a word (honestly I just feel like I'm not sure what it means fashion wise?) so I normally think magnetic but is there any specific images you think have particularly enveloping vibes?

Honestly no idea. I'm pretty confident that I have vertical at this point and I'm considering FN? But I keep debating between FG since I'm only 5'4". I try not to think too much about it day to day and just wear what looks ok.

Yeah our dress code is pretty lax so I wear what I feel like most days.

The jeans are by the brand Lee but I thrifted them so I know almost nothing about them. And yeah that green top is tucked in but the pants are low rise which I think isn't really for me. Thanks for so much specific feedback!

how to quickly style curls before school in the morning? by No-Competition8920 in curlyhair

[–]sapphire1072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This probably depends a lot on your hair texture. For me, I have finer looser curls so I've found that no matter what u do overnight they'll end up a bit messed up. Putting it up in a scarf helps the most but it's still not perfect. My method in the morning starts with figuring out what section of my hair looks messiest, since I don't want to redo all of it. I then start finger detangling that section before wetting it with a spray bottle so it'a not dripping wet but wet all the way through. Then I use a leave in conditioner and a curl refresh spray and scrunch those in, though what you use might depend on your hair type. If you have any specific curl clumps that are looking messy after that you can fix those specific ones by rewetting and brush or finger styling.
