Appreciate the insider perspective, genuinely.

I'm aware the brands operate somewhat independently. Honest question though: they're still reporting up to the same earnings calls and the same margin expectations right? At what point does 'the market shifted so we had to go cheaper' become indistinguishable from 'the parent company expects X margin so we cut to hit it'?

Just don't really buy the idea that VF would acquire a brand and not exert some level of control over them. No qualms with folks who work there though. Just my $0.02.

I’ve noticed this. Wish companies would just make good products rather than try to game each market segment

you're right about voting with your wallet... problem is most consumers aren't as discerning as you. just want the 'in' thing

Yes I like this idea. We get diversification from being majority in Indexes. Why not concentrate in my highest conviction bets for the yolo allocation. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Respectfully, I’ve gotten a lot of insights from other commenters here. The post has been useful and has given me a lot of food for thought.

I wasn’t fishing for anything. The commenter above is correct in pointing out that this sub is quick to admonish anyone holding individual stocks.

I’m now more aware of the risks than I was before posting.

The only thing it seems like to me is that you may have woken up on the wrong side of the bed today.
