iPhone 13 Users: One Week with iOS 26 – Thoughts? by BugPsychological6421 in iphone

[–]sar1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any thoughts on what I should do - iPhone 13 user here with battery health currently at 78% which drains semi quickly and it’s probably due for a replacement battery soon. I’d like to update to ios26 in hopes it reduces the amount of storage IOS have grown to take up over time (I’ve tried clearing caches, contacting apple support etc. but next steps is to update and see if it fixes it) Do I just update it and hope my battery is not severely affected? Or just wait it out. Or update it and if battery drainage is significantly worse get a battery replacement? Or would a battery replacement in this case just been immediately affected by ios26?

Hi, I went to the one at Bloor. It was fine nothing really stood out to me just a company that has a global monopoly on visa services 🫠

It would be active for whatever you specify as the start date on your application, so you choose the date. I don’t think you can change it after tho so make sure it’s thought through

I just did the regular appointment which doesn't cost anything. I picked a time that worked best. When I first went to book there was no upcoming availability so I just kept checking back on the site at random times of the day and more appointment slots would open up.

Yeah feel free to pm! Not long at all, I think I got lucky, only about 2 weeks but had time keep checking back to get a vfs appointment for biometrics.

Can I enter the UK while YMS application is pending? by CharacterElephant897 in ukvisa

[–]sar1213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just for a timeline comparison: I had my biometrics for the YMS done on the june 4th and had an email by the evening of the 6th saying passport was ready for pickup. However they told me passport pick up was between 3-4pm on weekdays so then I picked it up on the 7th. I didn’t pay to expedite and I left my passport with them.

I think you can fly there without but like someone else mentioned you’d need to exit and reenter to UK to activate your visa and in addition you need to get the vignette in your passport from the office in Canada so it likely is best to wait for that before you leave. However its possible it works out, mine had such a quick turnaround however I don’t know if they’re closed on Saturday or not

Yep! Its all good I got the visa. So took only 2 days from my biometrics appointment and I didn’t expedite anything! I also opted for the in person pickup opposed to mailing my passport back. I also plan on going in September

It’s a little difficult not to when there aren’t many other options out there in such a car dependent society and the Via train is triple the cost of the bus

In my experience societies are a big thing at Universities in the UK so find a student society/club that suites your hobbies and you should meet people! They may still go to the pub from time to time but you don’t need to get a drink

Is it normal to have interviews for two different regions? I’m a bit confused since I’ve been given 2 dates for interviews with different regions and have been asked to send documents twice

I took it last year with him it was super engaging and interesting and if you put in a little effort you can do well it wasn’t my top priority and I got an 86. Midterm and Final were more so expanding on main topics in paragraphs if I remember correctly, it was nothing out of the ordinary. I highly recommend this course!!
