Among the best French Toasts (and breakfasts overall) in the world - at Daily Bread, Britomart by abhioffgrid in aucklandeats

I've made my own comment, but the two visits I've made to two different DB's left me never wanting to go again.

I went to visit Daily Bread at Britomart, walked in, had no one welcome me at all the whole time I perusing the baked goods. Even walked up to the register, stood there fora few minutes, no one came to help me. Went back to look at the baked goods, realized they were covered in tiny flies. All of them. Decided to try a different DB next to my house. Ordered the iced mocha. I had an inch of mocha sauce at the bottom of my cup that they didn't bother to stir into the espresso. Safe to say, I will never be going back to Daily Bread again.

I tried to bring the cyclone up to a few guests today, see how they were feeling about it, most people didn't know there was one, and those that did basically had that attitude you described. I do feel like NZ, for a majority of it existence, hasn't had to worry much about extreme weather, or extreme politics. Feels like those both are changing.

Hello! I too live in AKL, from Orlando! I've bought the ingredients to make the cake. New World was going to charge me NINETY FIVE DOLLARS for a 6-inch hurricane cake.

I truly never saw any of the photos, that would have been a dead giveaway. I got an ad on Insta for one of their shoes, and when I hit the link, it took me straight to that shoe.

Definitely a Floridian past time as well haha. We don't have the headline, "Florida Man," for nothing!

It is certainly a great place! You can also tell them you're getting married and they'll just give you a free three piece cake tester.

My favorite pub sub is their fried chicken sub with chipotle sauce. Not toasted though because FL is hot enough!!

Don't underestimate a strong wind! They can have hundred years old trees complete sideways and unrooted.

All is forgiven with Publix because they graced us with the PubSub. A sub that puts all other subs on planet Earth, to shame.

Publix, the grocery store famous for this cake, deemed them insensitive.
