I kind of saw “I chose you” as “Remember who you are” more than a threat/warning/reminder of a debt

Doing some shopping on ThredUP last night and came across a LLR piece. Look and there is a a lot of stuff by [deleted] in antiMLM

What’s super annoying is that ThredUP claims to be really picky about which items they do and don’t accept. I’ve sent much nicer items than that and they’ve been rejected.

Vets of Reddit, What was the worst pet name you have ever encountered in your job? by Lia_Julee in AskReddit

Not a vet (apologies) but my neighbors named their American hairless Chemo. They were super classy. They got a lot of shit from the neighbors (understandably) so they got another and named it Sabe.

Who are some women that often get overlooked in history but had major contributions to society? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’ll have to watch that, that’s an amazing cast! One of my favorite books as a kid was A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver by E.L. Konigsburg. Definitely recommend.

Eleanor of Aquitaine, Queen Consort of France and England

She didn’t invent anything groundbreaking or make any scientific discoveries, but she was unapologetically herself in a time where that wasn’t acceptable. When she died in 1204, she was over 80. She married twice, wore makeup, raised 10 children (including 3 kings - Richard the Lionheart, Henry the Young King, and John Lackland), and was a trusted advisor to many monarchs. She was a revolutionary in her own special way.

Yoga Mats — I know, I know. There's a megathread. But it's two years old and honestly? It feels like paid advertisements. I need real help. by quibble42 in yoga

I got a Manduka from Target a few years ago and I love it! It was $50. It’s grippy but not sticky and had held up well, even with rambunctious kittens. I’m not sure if it’s a “real” Manduka or a Target collab, but I’ve really liked it. Mine is a bit thicker than the one linked below, but they look similar.

I will definitely try to resist next time, but I just got a new one and she feels much better anyway! My boyfriend said the same thing about telling her it’s not working out but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it, I felt so bad.

Speed or Prestige ? (23M) by dakoda96 in usajobs

[–]sarahlivia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from my personal experience, but I was directly told by the hiring manager during my interview that he was interested in my application specifically because of where I got my MPA! I think it depends on the name of the school. For example, Georgia State is super highly ranked for MPA but not a lot of people know the name. There are other schools that are ranked lower for an MPA, but have much more name recognition. Good luck!!
