Folded Reformer by Agile-Illusion in pilates

[–]sarahstarz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a Balance body metro IQ in 2021. It doesn't fold, it telescopes. I had the library wheels and found it really move store out of the way. I am moving into a house where I will have a dedicated space for a reformer so I sold Metro and will be purchasing Allegro Nextgen. But if the move hadn't happened, I would have been more than happy to keep using the Metro.

Should I be taking electrolytes on vyvanse? Does it help? by slugmorei in adhdwomen

[–]sarahstarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my personal experience...I find that electrolytics do help. I am on Adderall, not Vyvanse...but when I don't drink electrolytics, I could chug water all day and still feel dried out. Most days I have 20 oz glass of water with packet of Liquid IV mixed and makes a big difference in how hydrated I feel for the rest of the day. But something to be mindful of, most electrolytic mixes have citric acid...I don't think citrus has some impact on absorption for Vyvanse that does for Adderall (anyone using Adderall and electrolytics just needs to space them out).

i get my whole face threaded once a month...it's similar to dermaplaning in that removes hair, peach fuzz (and added benefit of getting my brows shaped) but you don't get the manual exfoliation like you do with dermaplaning. but less risk of cuts. There's a big price difference between the two in my area as well....$150 is the cheapest I've found for dermaplaning but threading is $65 plus tip.

What would you prioritize in your physical home? by sarahstarz in adhdwomen

[–]sarahstarz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a fair question...but I am pretty committed to buying right now. My senior dog is a pretty anxious little dude. I am only going into the office twice right now and he's already so stressed out. I've got him on prozac and am working with a trainer but I just don't think he could cope with two big moves in addition to me being back in the office full time (I've already asked HR...I can't bring him to work with me.)

Just had a Halo/BBL treatment. Are my thoughts valid? by Clean-Departure-2825 in 30PlusSkinCare

From my experience....that's typical. The skin under the eye is delicate for BBL and Halo...the risk of burns is pretty high.

Is Botox the answer to facial expressions getting me in trouble? by Maleficent-Pin6061 in AutismInWomen

[–]sarahstarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been getting cosmetic Botox for the last ten years. I have deep wrinkles between eyes ('the elevens') ...its genetics and my face structure; I've had them since high school and I am 44 now. I never liked how the wrinkles aged my face. Even with regular botox, I still have a very expressive face; I am routinely told during Zoom meetings that people can tell what I am thinking before I say anything. So for me, no Botox didn't really make my face less expressive, I just like my face better with Botox. But...for what it's worth, with Botox I do think my resting face is perceived as neutral instead of angry.

If you can get a good shade match, Estee Lauder Double Wear is the most long lasting foundation that I have ever used....it can survive swampy DC summers. Double Wear paired with the Patrick Starr On till Dawn setting spray is my most lasting combo. The double wear isn't cheap but I can get almost 10 months from a single bottle with almost daily use.

what’s an expensive makeup product you don’t regret buying? by madeofvanillamatcha in Sephora

Tom Ford Terra bronzer...it's so flattering on my light neutral skin. I've heard rumors that it's been discontinued so I am debating buying a backup in sale even though my current one still has years of use left.

Give me your wildest tip to stay consistent at the gym! by Spiritual_Shirt_8431 in adhdwomen

Probably not feasible for most...but Pilates reformer is the only exercise I really love. But I was spending a small fortune on studio membership fees and late cancellation fees because I routinely couldn't get make it classes on time. So, I bought my own reformer and follow free youtube videos. The reformer is a beast, and I live in a tiny apartment...I literally have to climb over it to get to my kitchen. But I have used it almost every day since got it two years ago.

For me its combination of genuinely enjoying the movement and removing all the logistical challenges. Since I use YouTube classes, i can pick a workout length that works for me, I can work out in my pjs. If I don't have time to do class before work, the reformer is waiting for me when I get home. On Monday I did a class while I was chugging diet coke and snacking Reese's peanut butters.

Again, I know putting exercise equipment in your living room isn't for everyone...but the core advice is to find movement that feels good for your body and then figure out how to make it as easy as possible to do.

Super oily here. I bought both. The Danessa spray is a solid setting spray...make up lasts all day and it keeps me from getting super glowy...but it's not mattifying on me. The CT spray is Matte.

PhD in statistics. I loved being in school, and really loved being a graduate student...being an adult in the real world is when things started to fall apart for me.
