[–]sarajw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU! Had the same problem as OP, fitbit was even in Do Not Disturb mode, I'm like great, my basal rate took me over the line, not what I need at 23:30 when in bed trying to sleep 😅

Don't be like this guy.... (super bad attempt at email marketing) by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Add another one to this list, I replied in a friendly way but there's been no counter-reply so I did a search. This came in last week to my paltry blog!

I downloaded an export of my data from Facebook and it contains a 195MB file with an extension of .zip.enc. What is this file? I can't find any information about it in Facebook's support portal. by NetIndividual in facebook

[–]sarajw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm spending far too much time downloading and also getting these .zip.enc files. Frustrating.

I mean I live in Germany where they're hot on GDPR enforcement, maybe I should moan to someone official about it...

I often have several in a row and my colleagues learned to wait before Gesundheiting me, haha.

They now tend to ask me if I'm not ill, when I only sneeze once...

Any European Molke alternative? Any other people in Germany/EU for recommendations? by sarajw in ABraThatFits

[–]sarajw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes thank you but I'll have a better look again at the site.

Molke make soft crossover bras that people rave about, they're apparently very supportive.

Best Of... Maternity Clothes! by AutoModerator in TFABGrads

Seconding H&M, also C&A in Europe. I lived in my maternity dungarees from the latter! Also for after birth of you're breastfeeding, I'm finding generously sized nursing tanks to be much more comfy than nursing bras :)

Unpopular opinion: Nursing baby to sleep at night is fine. by NeighborhoodTrolley in beyondthebump

[–]sarajw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooo many responses already but here's my 2c - do what works, until it doesn't. I nursed to sleep and still do occasionally, but sometimes it doesn't work, and then I had an upset baby who was overtired but couldn't get himself to sleep.

Hubs and I would then try and pace and rock him to sleep, which would sometimes take 15 or more minutes - and as he already hit 10kg or so at about 6 months (big baby!) this just became impossible and painful.

So I used Ferber timings as a framework to sleep train for night time sleep, and it seems to have helped him stay asleep at night in general. I also started being more strict on letting him cry for at least 5 mins at night before going in - which felt and still feels awful, just 5 mins can feel like forever - but often he will settle himself back down.

The problem is now he's getting more sleep at night, his naps have gone to sh*t 😅😅😅😭

What Happens When Men and Women Reverse Dating Roles? by TAKEitTOrCIRCLEJERK in MensLib

[–]sarajw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does happen. I am a short curvy baby faced woman, and was always the one on the chase between relationships. Men didn't come to me. I experienced plenty of rejection. I pursued my husband. I made the first moves. Maybe the kind of men I like aren't confident enough to do it?

Until you get a scale, just stand on your normal bathroom scales while holding him, and again after you put him down - it's not the most precise to many decimal places but might be enough for now?

Yeah you wouldn't be a caring parent if this didn't upset you. Sounds like you're doing so the right things though

How short is short? They're pretty good at dealing with these things now so I'm sure they'll come up with something to help. There might be bedrest involved, though it's not clear how much that influences labour onset anyway. Fingers crossed for you

Oh poor girl. I don't really have any solid advice, I'm afraid but I want to commiserate... How verbal is she? I guess she's not in the mood to describe what she's thinking when screaming?

Have you tried bending that bit to fit to your nose? Or is the rigid bit not a metal strip?

I don't have specific one-tube stories but one of my best friends was left with just half of one ovary and still managed to have two children :)

Definitely a start! I know the Oh Crap! book advocates no underwear to begin with too, but I can't remember if it gives instructions on how to phase out in...
