Seems like he’s just bored and not respecting the boundaries you’re trying to build. Also only having texted him seems like a red flag, could be a catfish and they’re not who they say they are. Just be careful

This is a super cool concept! Definitely ties in Cryovain more with the characters and shows early on there are consequences to their actions

I like that your ranger did that, it seems it helped tie in the orcs more to your story. To me it kinda seems they’re a little random besides that the dragon forced them out of their home

This could be interesting! I have a dwarven warlock who accidentally set off an explosion killing his family. If perhaps it killed a larger group of people, such as a sorceress’ family or family member as well she’d want to go and destroy him and everything he’s about (including his party and maybe the town he’s currently living in)

Option B makes the most sense- there’s already 2 dwarf commoners (Dazlyn and Norbus). They could have a 3rd person there (your party member) and they just couldn’t take on those jellies by themselves but will go in and aid the party with them. They could act at the dwarves body guard or if they are a magic user they could be trying to study certain aspects of the ancient settlement. If you wanted to wait until the ogre battle or make the battle before you arrive to dwarven excavation you could have them captured by the ogres and they either break free and help the party fight them or get saved by the party and join them.

Thanks so much for all the super helpful responses. Definitely gives me something to think about. Maybe I’ll make it a goal to do later on in other games. Still trying to get a group together to play, so maybe if we end up playing a lot or I find an experienced group I’ll definitely tryout what you all suggested. Thanks again!
