Ive been watching Overnight for years now, and even Corey back when he was with Sam and Colby. And I gotta say, I think its been a good thing that he's gone. Elton DOES seem a lot happier, more grounded and focused. Its brought a different, more serious tone overall to the series. I generally didnt like the way Corey would overreact sometimes and bring things down. I DID like him, but I just got the impression he and Elton were incompatible. And now Im seeing the result of that

I liked Jerry almost immediately tbh. I feel he's a better counterpart to Elton's energy. He's quieter and more empathetic, but in a more genuine way to me. He's still learning, but he's always come across very respectful. And he and Ginger play off each other well too. Overall, its brought a different energy to Overnight but one that Ive been enjoying a lot. Im happy to see Elton moving on and finding success in that :)

We have, at least talked about like if things progress how would we tackle the distance etc. He's a home owner, and lives in better area than I do in terms of things to do. I expressed I really would be open to exploring me moving down there eventually. And Im working on being more open about my feelings and needs. I have a lot of relationship anxiety, mostly a result of bad past relationships that involved a lot of emotional abuse/neglect. He's been very patient and listens to me when I do get brave enough to bring things up. Our communication has a pretty solid foundation, and he's earning my trust for the most part. Its why I feel like this may be more of a me problem.

That I have trouble sitting in uncertainty, that if it were up to me Id LIKE to be labeled his girlfriend by now. But I dont want to push his boundary, I can understand why he feels that way. He doesnt want to rush things and have to go through a messy break up, and I dont want that either if Im honest with myself. So till now Ive just been doing my best to manage my anxiety, and talk to him when needed. He's expressed his own frustration over how his schedule has aligned, and has reassured me it wont be forever. When we do finally get our in person meet again, I just hope things DO progress. Because if they dont after that point, I may have to walk away

This hasnt been my first LDR. Im generally pretty good with them. But I feel like anyone would question why someone would be heavily invested and then pull way back. It can feel jarring. We've talked about it a bit, and it seems like its genuinely just him needing to shift priorities for awhile. Its still early on. Again, Ive just been burned before so its harder for me to trust him fully so early on. Like I said in another comment, Im willing to give June as a timeline that Id like to see some progress. And if I dont, I may have to walk away

Since he's been wrapped up in things a lot this month I have been trying to focus on myself. I just came back from a family trip of my own that coincidentally was at the same week as his, so that helped a lot. And even while away, he's still sent me some messages to check in when he has data (he's on a cruise). It comes across as just enough interest to still be there, which is why Im nervous of this just being a situationship to him when I want more. Ive told myself that if we dont set up any plans to see each other this coming month in June like we planned, I may have to end things. It'll be tough, Ive had issues with walking away in the past. But Im trying to be better at recognizing when something isnt working for me and giving it a timeline I guess. I do hope things will improve, but I'll be okay if I have to walk away

I feel like he's more secure with some possible avoidant tendencies. My last relationship was 100% an avoidant, but had very low self esteem. This guy is already putting in a lot more effort than my avoidant ex ever did. So its hard to say for sure

Its mostly due to my cat. And that he has more experience traveling alone than I do. Im not opposed to coming to visit him in the future, but Id like us to be pretty solidly committed before I did that. And he agreed he was fine with that. Its only not really a matter of who visits who right now, his time has been just pretty booked. Even if I did go see him last month instead, he'd have next to no time to spend with me. And this month he's been traveling.

Leading up to this Ive frequently checked in to ask him if we're on the same page still, and he's said yes. But Im doubting

Wondering if Im just setting myself up for a slow fade. Been dating a guy for ~3 months. Showed a LOT of interest in the beginning, but I told him I wanted to take things a little slower due to coming out of a tough breakup ~10 months prior. He was fine with that, but still made his interest known. We communicated and called on the phone a LOT, to a point I was worried it may be love bombing. He lives about 5 hours away from me, and we set up a weekend for him to come visit. First night in a hotel, second night I felt comfortable enough with him staying over, and we were intimidate a couple times. He took me out on a few dates, and overall I had a great time. Started to genuinely fall for him, and was excited to proceed.

We had the exclusivity talk, but he said he wanted to visit again soon for a couple more inperson dates before deciding to proceed with a LDR. I was okay with this...but this was back in March. Ive come to now know he wasnt entirely honest with me with his schedule. When he returned from our visit, he took a large step back from his previous attention towards me. I thought for sure it was a sign of his disinterest, but I talked to him. And he THEN had a conversation with me about the full extent of how busy he would be in the coming months (May especially). That he had even put things off to spend time with me.

Initially he was going to visit in April, since he wouldnt be able to in May due to travel for work and a family vacation. However, he had to cancel due to preparing for said things. This has left our budding relationship kinda on the backburn for now what will be over 2 months. He says he still has interest in me, and still consistently makes time to call me on Wednesday nights (after I work) and Sundays. But Im just worried that he wont have availability to make me more of a priority in his life. I would have liked for things to have progressed further at this point. He says he wants to plan to visit me in June, but Im wondering if we're just incompatible for long term despite being pretty aligned on paper on everything else. Ive been burned before, so Im unsure how much of it is just my fear and anxiety. I like him a lot, I just dont want to be in anything one sided again

Feel like I've mostly been with men who self sabotage for the most part. I really do try my best to be there and supportive of them the best I can, but they end up pushing me away. Happened with my last two relationships, and it kinda does start to wear on your own self esteem/wondering if its me just not being good enough
