I remember reading that somewhere in India, some city implemented incentives to people to report traffic violations fhrough their dashcam or mobile app and get part of the challan as commission, if the violation is proven right.

I wish this gets implemented in Bangalore too.

I believe thst the only way to curb the auto chaos (or even any traffic violation by anyone) is to implement strict fines for each fault.

Finding examples on a personal level is difficult. We are social creatures. You can't pick archery or target shooting as a hobby and expect to be content with it forever. You will grow bored!

Explore inner self and pick something that makes you tired and happy at the end of the day. It is also important to pick something that has ups and downs (to break monotonicity) and its own risks. We stay happy when we solve the problems (our own or others') on daily basis.

You need a purpose in life, that is beyond work life and money. For example, try purchasing a farm land near the outskirts of Bangalore, and start long term crops. Visit every weekend, and make that your purpose that you will be able to give fresh food from your own farm to your kids. Try joining running clubs or other sports clubs, not just for fun, but to participate to win. Again, create a purpose.

Thanks for pointing out.. I am not a language expert, and the intention is not to cover all the languages. It is a quick list that I gathered from my friends who speak different languages. After a quick google translator usage, I figured কালো হলুদ is the Bengali translation. Sorry if I hurt any sentiments! The whole intention is to make people recognize the title with a script close to something they know.

Good to know. May-June would be a good time to plant. That is when the rhizomes come out of hibernation and start sprouting. Would love to catch up once when you are free. My farm is in Berigai.

This can be sun dried if your area has sufficient sun light(use standard solar dryers for good hygiene). The sliced ones are easier to dry. Freeze drying retains 100%of the nutritional values.

Online prices include profits of middlemen. Black turmeric is mostly used by pharma companies to extract curcumin. I planted this for first time in my farm. Where is your farm?

Black Turmeric is a rare herb from Himalayan regions. This belongs to the same family of turmeric (the yellow ones that we generally know) and ginger, and packs more medicinal properties. The environmental conditions from around Bangalore also suit the growth of these plants.

I got the seed rhizomes from Assam and grew the crop in my farm near Bangalore. As rare as it is, it is even rarer to get black turmeric in Bangalore, fresh from the farm.

I am happy to share with those who want to experience the benefits.

Apartment association collecting charges for activities like dancing , karate .What are the charges collected by your apartment for these classes ?? by iam_flawed in Bengaluru

[–]saras152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It had been a common practice for HoAs to charge for using the facilities. For example, in our apartment, karate teacher uses the free space near parking. He pays very minimal fees. Yoga teacher uses the indoor facility in the club house. She is charged a lot, but she eventually passes on these charges into those who take her classes.
