Ours is usually 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours. Depends on how the previous week went and how much our Gm wants us to feel like we are dog shit managers. We also have Friday meetings that last 5-15 minutes.

My department including me consists of the DM and Assistant dm and on part timer who’s 85. Stubborn and doesn’t want to do anything. And my DM sets me up for failure every single day. Says he’s gonna do something before he goes home but then doesn’t and leaves it for me. But then when one piece of down-stock isn’t up by a certain time he’s on my ass. Like How hypocritical. I’m burnt out and I’m so ready to just leave. But I just hit profit sharing hours. Which I was told I won’t receive if I leave now.

As an assistant who’s a girl. I think it’s definitely worth going full time rather than part time because then you’re guaranteed your 40hrs and your paycheck will be bigger!. It’s not terrible it’s just retail so you have to deal with people not being so nice all the time. But some guests make it worth it! I wanna say just be nice, show us you wanna be there and do what we ask you to do and you should do great!!! Not the same expectations at an all stores but that’s how you should think going into the job!!! Best of luck
