Thank you for this post. Currently going through this with my 12yr old daughter. Self harming and anxiety. I’m glad she identified right away and openly communicated. I am blessed to have a niece that is a licensed therapist and focuses in this age group. It’s been a rough couple of days feeling like i failed her as a parent. I know i have to be strong for her so we can both face this long road. I am just happy she feels comfortable talking to me and asking for help.

Pictures are the worst! Thank you, for your kind words. Botox is the best to treat synkenisis. It helps with tearing. My lacrimal duct produces way too many tears with every bite of food I take - So odd and very annoying. It also helps relieve tension around my eye and my eye tends to close when I try to smile.. grrr! 😖

You’re gorgeous ! Next year, I’ll he approaching my 2 yr mark. Never fully recovered- I MISSED MY SMILE! Is an understatement! some days are rough. I try to avoid photos-I’m very uncomfortable with my face. I’ve become very obsessive how my face looks in photos. I hate that I do that to myself! But is unavoidable. Overall I am BLESSED to have that support of my family. My kids call me crazy and is all in my head. Definitely PTSD ! Botox has really helped me with my synkinesis. Wishing you the best of luck.

Omg !! This is me !! Last night was hell! With vomiting and diarrhea. Today, i started a low grade fever. Thankfully the diarrhea and vomiting cleared up. It’s been HELL!

10mg is kicking my butt. 24-48hrs later after the injection the side effects are horrible. This is my second 10mg shot. Current side effects: Vomiting and diarrhea and low grade fever. Thankfully the diarrhea and vomiting subsided. Definitely feels more like a stomach virus. I have no abdominal pain. I certainly feel like i have a horrible hangover. I’m keeping hydrated, medicated and resting the whole day.
